Early Life

Daughter of Ben and Jurta Te'lan. Annabelle was born on her father's transport vessel, JH-524, somewhere on the outskirts of the Outer Rimand she stayed on the ship for the first twelve years of her life, stepping foot onto planets only to pick up supplies. She spent most of her time aboard the vessel with her mother or her pet Gizka, Faldru. Her father kept to himself, only speaking to her on birthdays or to tell her off for being somewhere she shouldn't. Every night, her mother would tell her stories about the legendary Jedi and every night Annabelle would promise her mother that she would become one, to make her proud.

A little under a week after her twelfth birthday, the mercenaries who had been tracking her father had finally caught up with them and barbarically executed her parents in front of her as she hid in the vessel's ventilation system with Faldru. The mercenaries striped the vessel of valuable items and sold it on the nearest planet they could find, Tatooine. They sold it to a Twi'lek engineer named Jul Nalar, who, whilst checking the vessel's systems, found Annabelle and Faldru. After losing his own daughter in an accident five years earlier, Jul decided to adopt the child as his own.

At the age of Fifteen, Annabelle caught her first glimpse of a Jedi, a Master named Jaxt Dessar. She ran home to tell Jul the exciting new, but unfortunately he was out at his favourite cantina. Ignoring the dangers of the cantina, Annabelle ran there as fast as she could and charged through the door and crashed into a drunken bounty hunter. The bounty hunter, Slarno, pulled out his vibroblade and swung it at Annabelle. Annabelle threw herself back, the blade barely missing her, and landed on the hard floor. A light flashed in front of her and Slarno's vibroblade fell to the floor, hand still attached.

Jaxt Dessar helped Annabelle up and guided her to his table. Once there, he complimented her on her reactions and told her that she had a strong connection with the force. He promised that after his mission was complete he would take her to the Jedi academy and train her become a Jedi. The Jedi escorted Annabelle home and ask Jul for permission to take her to the academy, Jul agreed and the Jedi left.

Two years after the events that happened in the cantina, Annabelle had grown tired of waiting for the Jedi to return and decided to pack up her things and leave for the Jedi academy herself. She stole as much money as she needed from Jul and left behind a note telling him that she had left for the Jedi academy and would pay Jul back as soon as she had the chance.

Once at the academy, Annabelle was turned down for entry for being too old. As she was leaving the academy, Jaxt Dessar caught up with her and told her that he would take her on as his own learner, despite of what the council might think. And so Annabelle began her training to become a Padawan.

During the next two years, Jaxt taught Annabelle how to control the force and her emotions, lightsaber techniques and the history of the Jedi.

Padawan Years

First Assignment

At the end of her training, Annabelle became Juxt Dessar's Padawan and they were sent on their first assignment together. They were to travel to onderaan and locate a Jedi who had gone missing whilst looking for force sensitives. Shortly after they arrived they were ambushed by a group of Sith. Surprised and inexperienced, Annabelle froze, leaving her master to fight them off by himself.

Although he had defeated the Sith attackers, the wounds he had sustained during the fight were critical and he fell to the ground, barely alive. After snapping out of her brief paralyses, Annabelle ran to Jaxt and started trying to tend his wounds, but it was too late. Using the last of his strength, he retrieved a small silver trinket from his pocket and handed it to Annabelle and told her he was sorry. Shortly afterwards he died and Annabelle carried him back to the shuttle they had arrived on and ordered the pilot to take them back to the Academy.

The Republic Order

Once back at the academy, Annabelle was turned down after requesting a second Master as there was no one willing to take her on. She decided to go back home, but shortly after her return to Tatooine she met Spenta Myrunji and after a discusion about her past, he offered her a place in the Republic Order. After she joined, Annabelle was assigned to Jedi Master Kross Naadar and continued her training to become a Jedi.
