History:

The Bright Inferno was originally a Dynamic-Class Light Freighter - under designation ID:000987301L - built by Galaxy Core Systems. This ship specifically was stolen by an unknown criminal who was working for the Exchange. In a private shipyard owned by the underworld crime syndicate, it was transformed into a new ship. It's entire hull had been replaced and it's various interior areas were modified. A second floor had even been added into the ship's interior design. Given the fact the ship was an illegal remodel of the Dynamic-Class Light Freighter, the Exchange simply dubbed it as the Dynamic-Class Type B and manufactured a few replicated models of there new ship. The ship would serve under it's original thief up until he was killed in what could only be called a dispute between criminals. From then on the ship would change hands with several different captains - some estimate that the ship has had over three hundred different captains at it's helm. It would eventually make itself into the hands of Desarus Ren Kai during the Great Galactic War, when he purchased the vessel from an auction on board the smuggler controlled space station the Smugglers Den. Since then it has undergone further modification at Desarus' own hands and has been his personal vessel alongside it's starfighter variant the Blade of Flames all the way into the Cold War - but where as the Blade of Flames would eventually come to a demise, the Bright inferno is still serving strong under Desarus.

Weaponry Overhaul:

When the Dynamic-Class Type-B was originally made or modified as the case may be, it only carried the standard armaments of the original Dynamic-Class Light Freighter. This had to be changed as the Exchange believed that having a ship being able to disguise itself as the ordinary civilian cruiser while actually carrying a payload of weaponry was a design very well suited for underworld activities such as spice shipping. So the hull of the Dynamic-Class Type-B was modified further to suit a grand new set of equipment - specifically weapons. It's old weapons were quickly removed and the new weapons were fitted in. On the wing tips of the ship where the original quad lasers were placed, were now a pair of blaster cannons which could be flipped inside the hull to hide them from outside viewing. The original concealed anti-personnel repeating blaster that was hidden under the cockpit's ventral side had been replaced by something much more powerful - a Lightning Cannon, capable of delivering a powerful arc of lightning towards enemy ships. Thanks to the original repeating blaster's already concealable position it was quite easy to modify to fit the larger Lightning Cannon. On the top side of the hull lay two hatches which could open up to give way to two large Dual Turbolaser Turrets which gave the Bright Inferno some nasty amount of firepower in a dog fight - the ship also carried proton torpedo tubes like the original Dynamic-Class but they were suited in a position where the proton-cores of the torpedo's wouldn't give away the fact the ship was carrying weapons.

Interior Layout:

The Cockpit:

"Buckle up! I'm taking us into the asteroid field!"

- Desarus during a chase by Imperials.

The cockpit of the Bright Inferno is set up in a rather unique setting. The pilot and co-pilot seats sit in a lowered position (with the floor lowering down creating something of a single-step climb from the rest of the cockpit) and the majority of the controls sprawled out in front of the two seats. The consoles that give the pilot and co-pilot control of the ship not only sprawls across the front of them but into the center point between them and on the ceiling. This center-piece of systems that sits in between the pilot and co-pilot seats is filled with diagnostic systems and a hologram that shows a visual image of the ship's current condition - which works on a system that relays damage done to the ship by a visual red flash on the usually dark blue hologram. The walls of the cockpit are alight with a simple center-line horizontal border which is a red-neon line which gives off a dim glow travelling across all of the walls within the ship - giving it some form of lighting without actually requiring a power source. On the left wall nearest the exit of the cockpit sits a few technical consoles - the majority of which are technical readouts and the most important being a console which designates current ship hyperspace trajectory and known hyperspace jump co-ordinates that have been logged in it's databank. The exit of the cockpit also features an emergency blast door for situations where the bridge may actually have to be sealed off from the rest of the ship - or the rest of the ship sealed off from the cockpit.

The Security Station:

Located a short way back from the Cockpit on the right side of the Forward Hallway is the Bright Inferno's Security Station. The room was shaped in a rectangular box style, with all of the walls outlined with control panels and monitors. The main monitor set in the back corner of the room gave access to security cameras all over the ship's interior. Like the cockpit the entrance can be sealed off with a blast door when the need arises - from the Security Station all other rooms on board the station can be locked down as well. Sitting in the right side as soon as one enters the room, are four security lockers stocked with supplies and a lone cargo cylinder sits next to them carrying an excess in weaponry such as blaster pistols and stun grenades.

Forward Hallway:

The Forward Hallway of the Bright Inferno is quite simple like most hallways on board ships are. it leads off from the Common Room into the Security Station and beyond that the Cockpit. The hallway carries nothing much of note except the glowing red strip-border going across it's walls like in the Cockpit, it also has a few service panels and some piping that can be found if one feels the need to lift up the floor-plating (which is detachable). The piping and service panels are of course routinely maintained by Desarus whenever the need arises and the piping more importantly contains a constant flow of oxygen from the Life Support system which is fed into the Cockpit to keep pilots alive.

Common Room/Briefing Room:

The Common Room is the center piece of the Bright Inferno. Shaped like an unruly circle with an elevator situated in the right corner and four diverging hallways leading into the Forward Hallway and the Main Corridor. The very center point of the room sits a holoprojector communication system, which allows Desarus and any other crew to view various hologram-controlled items as well as communicating with many other instruments across the galaxy (such as a relay of orders). Around the holoprojector sits a couch to make viewing more relaxing. Slightly across from the holo projector are two smaller couches sitting around a Gambling Table that has been modified with holographic equipment, allowing people to play Dejarik on the table. In the right corner sits an elevator which leads down to the lower floor and it's single room while the left corner contains a large databank system that houses various different logs of data - from information on important Imperial figures to mundane knowledge such as history that has been personally recorded by Desarus - the majority of knowledge he has deciphered from Holocrons also sits in this databank. The diverging hallways all sit in the main points of the room (The Forward Hallway coming off from the front area and three hallways diverging from the left, right and back leading into the Main Corridor).

Main Corridor:

The Main Corridor makes up the majority of hallway/passageway of the Bright Inferno's interior. Branching out from the left side the corridor leads up into the Droid Station. While from the right side it leads into the Crew Quarters. Both branching parts of the corridor have a second diverging path which leads around in a curve around to the Cargo Hold, Engine Room and the ship's Garage. A back way that comes up between the Cargo Hold, Garage Hold and directly in front of the Engine Room also leads off into the Medical Bay and a small lift that gives access to the top of the ship's outer hull. The Main Corridor also carries the same dim glowing stripping that is prevalent in other parts of the ship.

Medical Bay:

Located off of the back diverging hallway of the Main Corridor from the Common Room is the Medical Bay. Unlike the Medical Bays set up in the original Dynamic-Class Light Freighter, the Medical Bay in the Bright Inferno is actually large enough to house a Kolto Healing Tank. The room is almost completely covered in small-square panels that give off light - to give the room a very clear view whenever work needs to be done. In the corner nearest the door sits a large container full of medical supplies such as bandaging and other tools to heal up wounds when one doesn't feel the need to take a dive in the Kolto Tank. Just off the Kolto Tank are three cargo containers filled with Med Packs - the containers are sealed up with a security lock system to prevent anyone simply boarding the ship and taking the med packs, leaving them for actual use when in the field.

Droid Station:

The Droid Station is located in the left side of the ship. Located where the Port Dormitory was situated on the Dynamic-Class Light Freighter. In the Bright Inferno's design it was remodeled as a work station. With the bunks being removed to make more space. When the ship was acquired by a Toydarian droid technician known as Ooba Elwin, he had the space that formerly belonged to the bunks filled by droid-recharging stations. A console to control said stations was fitted into the room as well and the room simply evolved into a center for droid building and repair. When Desarus Ren Kai acquired the ship, he kept the station in it's current condition - only modifying it to suit it for work on IX-12 - or even to go as far as making it the droid's personal place on board the ship.

Crew Quarters:

Most likely the only room on board the Bright Inferno that doesn't carry modifications on the design on the original Dynamic-Class Light Freighter are the Starboard Dormitories. The room carries a total of four bunks for which passengers or temporary (Or even permanent) members of the crew can rest. The door has a seal-able blast door like most rooms on the ship for security measures. Under the floor plating is also a back up Life Support System which was capable of sustaining life within the dormitories for a few hours. This back up was installed by a wary pirate who held a trusty crew who she claimed were more valuable than her own life, which made her venture so far in ensuring that during a hostile take over of the vessel (I.E: Enemy boarding) or heavy damage to the ship - the crew could be secured within the dormitory. Of course despite being largely unchanged in it's design the room had gone under some smaller modifications - the most notable of which would be in the top bunk furthest from the dormitory entrance. Carrying a hidden compartment embedded in the wall that had been placed there by another wary little wayfarer during his time as the ships captain.

Cargo Hold:

The Cargo Hold located through the Main Corridor was where all of the Bright Inferno's supplies were stored. A large storage container within the room which had a temperature control was sat just in from the Cargo Hold's entrance which is used to store all manners of food and beverage brought on board the ship. The room remains largely un-important aside from a rather large amount of cargo containers and cargo cyllinders full of miscellanious items ranging from weapons to clothing. In the inner most part of the Cargo Hold however sits a large space with a large stretch of square-panel spaced netting attached to a cargo-loading crane which sits over the under hull doors for large item/quantity loading into the cargo hold.

Engine Room:

The Engine Room of the Bright Inferno was very simple in it's design. The Engine Room was found at the very back of the ship's interior sitting between the Cargo Hold and Garage, accessible right off the Main Corridor. The engine room was simply a long rectangular room with the halls being made up of the inner sides of the ship's engines. At the back of the room sat the hyperdrive which was locked into the floor by a large grip that was connected to a large assortment of capables and cords which plugged into various parts of the engine or vanished in the sprawl of the floor. On the back part of the engines were two large white coil-like objects which gave off a large amount of light essentially giving the room a source of light.

The Garage:

The Garage on board the Bright Inferno was located through use of the Main Corridor or much more simply when one was ascending the loading ramp for the ship. The garage was pretty much the same in design from the original Dynamic-Class Light Freighter with a large panelling leather net hung across the outer wall while a workbench sits in the corner. The key differences between them that a turbolift sat in the Bright Inferno's Garage which could be used to traverse onto the ship's hull. Sitting in the Bright Inferno's Garage was Desarus' Customized AeroChaser Swoopbike which was often elevator above the ground by a large paneling that was connected to the floor.

Desarus' Chamber:

Desarus' Chamber was the only actual room within the Bright Inferno's second floor. To reach it one would simply make use of the elevator situated in the Common Room. The elevator extended out onto a short hallway which carried the same design as the Main Corridor and Forward Hallways - with the additive that a border shelving was attached onto the red striping. This shelving usually held nothing on them and were purely for aesthetics. Desarus' Chamber would be entered by a large blaster door which revealed the room to be circular in design. With Desarus bedding sitting in the center-back of the room and the few amenities that were added were simply darted around the room. The most important of which was a large cyllinder display case that was filled with various lightsabers and holocrons of both Sith and Jedi. Despite being Desarus' personal quarters the bed was fitted to be double the size of a normal one, most likely for company despite the restriction against Jedi on such things. It would eventually find use when Desarus married Arriwen Ienia.
