Appearance

Carthalis stands at an average height of 6'0. He has several scars running down his body, most prominently found down the length of his back, along the spinal column. His most noticeable scar can be found running vertically across his forehead which appears to have been made by a vibroblade. His eyes are a smooth brown and his hair is cut short in a standard military buzz.

In terms of overall appearance, he is very muscular due to the amount of physical training he has been forced to endure due to his military service. Notably, he never wears any non-regulatory items when in uniform or in armor, which is opposed to the norm of most military personnel who generally wear something of a personal nature while dressed in their military attire.

Background

Carthalis "Carth" Eiboba was born to a lower class family in the undercity of Coruscant. Born in an area populated by crime lords and gang violence, Carth had a rough living. His parents argued constantly and worked several jobs in an attempt to earn enough money just to pay their taxes. It wasn't long before he would have to scavenge for food and day-to-day supplies just to stay alive, which molded him into having a survivor complex.

Academically, Carth attended one of the public schools in the upper-level of his district. He did surprisingly well, despite his upbringing, and worked exceedingly hard to earn good grades. His instructors discovered very early on in his academic career that he had an obsession with organization. He would always come to class prepared and ready to learn - and that is what made him so successful in his school life.

When Carth reached the age of seventeen, Carth was able to attend an event hosted at his local high school featuring the Republic Navy's official drill team. After watching the team in action, he was thoroughly impressed and found a new interest in the military - something he had previously never given thought to. Later that year, Carth finally graduated from his high school and was now seeking a job out in the 'real world'.

Sacking of Coruscant

The day Carth turned eighteen was the day his life would be forever altered, whether for better or for worse. The Sith Empire had deceived the Republic and began their surprise assault on the capitol. He watched in horror as two of his brothers perished before his eyes. He and the last two siblings survived alongside him - as they had fled to a nearby undercity hotel complex and waited until the siege had ended.

Emerging from the rubble and ruins of the district, Carth discovered both of his parents were injured in what was soon to be known as the Sacking of Coruscant. With death tolls high, the nefarious surprise attack had evoked feelings of anger and vengeance from the recesses of his soul. After ensuring his parents were safely admitted to a medical facility, he immediately went and enlisted into the Galactic Republic Marine Corps.

Boot Camp & Treaty of Coruscant

Upon arriving at boot camp, he discovered the military life to be a whole other world for him, unlike anything he'd ever experienced. The incessant yelling, constant drilling, and the maintaining of discipline became tedious and some concepts were difficult to grasp at first. Initially, he did not respond to the shouting and insults well and he almost flunked out because of this if it were not for one of his instructors who saw his true potential.

Upon his graduation, he enjoyed ten galactic standard days of leave. Deciding that, in the meantime, it was best to stay away from the ruined capitol of Coruscant, Carth took a trip to the Mid-Rim world of Naboo. Having never ventured off of Coruscant, the experience was rather new to him. He explored the world with great interest in its history and natural beauty - and even met some equally beautiful women during his stay as well. Two days prior to the end of his psuedo-vacation, he was brought news of the Treaty of Coruscant and was infuriated that the Republic's Senate would agree to such terms.

Infantry Training & Present

Returning to the fleet, he was immediately cycled into infantry training. He was yet again thrust into another insane routine of physical training and unorthodox methods of training. He was given special individual training as a rifleman and towards the end of his training, was awarded high marks in marksmanship. This opened up a new and illustrious career opportunity as a sniper. An opportunity in which he graciously declined. His last few weeks of training were used to hone his skills and it was here that his combat instructors discovered his sheer knack for explosives. He was known as the 'handy-man' for anything related to the field of demolitions and he was given further training in this field.

Carthalis has now been given a assignment to a real frontline unit and hopes to begin active duty sooner rather than later. He wishes to fight in hopes of avenging those lost and injured in his family - and the sooner he is put into the field, the better.

Personality

Carthalis is a very calm and street-smart individual. He stays well informed and respects those of a higher position than himself. He follows regulations strictly and keeps his opinions primarily to himself. He has, however, a strong distaste for all Jedi for reasons unexplained and he is a disbeliever in the higher power known as the "Force."

Due to his training, he will follow all orders without question. He is ethical and surprisingly intelligent, despite his gruff appearance and stature. He will lend a helping hand to any citizen of the Republic who needs his services - and he has a great hatred of the Sith Empire and all those who side with them. Having only lived on Coruscant for most of his life, he has very little knowledge of other worlds and strives to learn as much as he can as to better himself when in the field of battle. He believes in not only knowing his enemy, but knowing his environment as well.

Overall, he is a highly skilled soldier who wishes to bring an end to the war.

Languages

Apart from Galactic Basic, the standard language of the Galactic Republic, Carthalis knows no other languages as of yet. Though, he aspires to learn several other major galactic languages, such as Mando'a.

Goals

Carthalis's primary goal is to avenge the deaths of several of his siblings, who met their tragic demise during the infamous Sacking of Coruscant. He wishes to ultimately aid the Galactic Republic in winning the war against the Sith Empire and has a heavy anti-treaty of Coruscant mindset. He will do anything for the Republic as long as it will allow him to avenge those most dear to him who have been lost.

Notable Descendants

Of his many descendants, the most notable appeared during the period of the Clone Wars and the Galactic Civil War. These individuals grew to great prominence during this time period and fought ferociously for what they believed to be a just cause.

Carth Eiboba

Born on the in Theed, Naboo to a merchant family - Carth was discovered by a Jedi Knight while in a busy marketplace with his parents. The Jedi felt Carth's strength in the Force and approached his family, offering to train their son to become a defender of the Republic. Accepting this request with a sense of honor, young Carth Eiboba was taken to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant where he began his training as a Jedi Padawan - immediately being assigned a master.

Jedi Training

From the age of nine to thirteen, he skills were honed and he became a master combatant, remarkably winning duels against some of the best duelers of his age group. His power and mastery of the Force grew and as it did, he was given more difficult tasks. It wasn't until fifteen that he began the difficult Jedi Trials that would transform him into a Jedi Knight.

Completing the trials and constructing a sleek lightsaber with a florescent green blade, Carth remained a good friend with his master and through him met the younger Jedi-in-training, Maliaki Cathlis. The two immediately became friends' and once Maliaki earned the title of Knight, the two volunteered to accompany each other on missions for the Jedi Council.

Their friendship grew stronger and stronger as they tackled difficult tasks and overcame many obstacles that got in their way. It was not until their shared adventure on the world of Chandrilla that their friendship began to hurt. During their mission to peacefully quiet a separatist uprising, Cathlis decided to use brutal force to quell what he claimed to believe was a man attempting to attack Carth with a sniper. A battle ensued from and it became a slaughter. The two were separated and a year later, Carth received news that Maliaki had left the Jedi Order after his old master was murdered by a Dark Jedi.

Continuing on alone, still completing missions for the Jedi Council, Eiboba began to hear rumors of a large separatist movement in the Outer Rim. Many star systems were seceding from the Galactic Republic at an alarming rate - all under the leader of Count Dooku. Needless to say, it did not come as quite a shock when he discovered Dooku was twisted and now a Dark Lord of the Sith.

The Clone Wars

Aiding with the Battle of Geonosis, Carth established himself as an able leader of ground troops and was given command of the 405th Clone Battalion. It was then that his path crossed that of Maliaki's once again - the two commanding Clone forces during the Battle for Rhen Var. Cathlis was now a General in the Republic Army and the two coordinated their forces to box in the Separatist droid army that was threatening to overrun a friendly Republic outpost on the planet. The public took great notice to this and the two were requested to work together again - which resulted in yet another success.

Afterwards, the two did battle with the CIS on several different occasions. Some were successes, but there was quite a few failed attempts to protect Republic-controlled worlds and territory. This lowered the morale of the troops and after a period of severe losses, Cathlis and Eiboba deviced a battle plan to retake the outlying star systems in the Mid-Rim that had fallen under CIS-occupation.

The operation was initiated on the Bothan homeworld and much to the pleasure of the two generals, the beginning stages of the operation was a success as several planets were liberated from enemy control.

Mara Eiboba

After the engagements in the Mid-Rim, Carth was transferred back to duty on Rhen Var - this time with its planetary defense in mind. It wasn't long before the separatists launched an assault on the world and commanding them was a female droid general named Mara T'Koski. During the height of the battle, Carth and Mara met on the battlefield and began an epic duel that ended climatically with the beautiful Dark Jedi's surrender.

After the battle and some convincing, Carth was able to convince Mara to defect and become part of the Jedi Order. After some testing, the Council elected Mara to be Carth's official second-in-command of the 405th. General Eiboba and Commander T'Koski led their troops to sheer victory in several major engagements.

During the final year of the war - just prior to the Jedi Purge - the 405th suffered a large number of losses across the Outer Rim. Due to this, they were pulled off the frontlines and were brought back to Coruscant for some rest and relaxation. However, their leave was cut short when Coruscant fell under attack by the separatist fleets.

The Battle for Coruscant

When the battle first began, Mara and Carth had been in the middle of a discussion about what their relationship had become. They had both grown to like each other - despite the rules against attachment and furthermore, love. Before they could continue their conversation, one of the top Clone commanders entered the room and alerted General Eiboba of what was occurring directly over their heads. Wasting no time, both Jedi arose and took flight in their Jedi Starfighters.

The battle was hectic and the squadron of Clones the two Jedi commanded was obliterated by Droid Starfighters, but the battle overall was a success thanks to the work of Jedi Generals Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. Upon returning to the surface of Coruscant, the couple decided to skip the celebrations and had some time alone to further discuss their relationship which ended with the two retiring for the night.

The Jedi Purges

When Order 66 was announced - Carth and Mara had been inside the Jedi Temple when Skywalker and the 501st infiltrated the Temple en masse. Fighting desperately to survive, the two knew that the Jedi Temple was lost. Sneaking out of the Temple through some ventilation shafts that Carth had known about since he was a child, the two escaped and hid in the undercity of Coruscant.

It was not long before the news of Clones across the galaxy performing similar acts of genocide reached their ears and as a last minute decision, Carth took Mara with him to Naboo where he had friends in Moenia who would most assuredly take them in. During this dark time, the two remained hidden inside the city seen as nothing but a backwater haven for politicians and artists. Little did the newly declared Galactic Empire know - two fugitive Jedi took refuge here.

Two years after Order 66 had been declared, Carth and Mara were blessed by the birth of two beautiful children. They named them Donau and Darl and after several years of remaining in Moenia, they finally decided it was safe enough to move into Theed. Wishing to not arouse suspicion, the two went job searching and while Carth was unsuccessful in finding anything - Mara found a legitimate job as a member of the Royal Security Force.

Paths Cross

As Donau and Darl grew, so did their powers in the Force. With little time to train the two younglings, their powers grew wilder and more out-of-control. It wasn't long before the two children became infamous for their outbursts of Force use and it had almost ended in an investigation with the Imperial Inquisition when Darl and Donau used their powers on two Imperial Stromtroopers on patrol. Luckily, Carth was able to persuade the troopers that they had merely been imagining that their blasters were floating in mid-air and that two children were using them as toys.

Although, unfortunately, word still seeped and the news spread. Before long, patrols in the area began to increase and the inevitability that the Eiboba's may be discovered was lingering just around the corner. So, the family took extra precautions and only allowed Donau and Darl to leave their home for school only; however, it was not their children who sealed their parents' fate.

While Mara was performing a routine inspection of the cargo being taken off an Imperial shuttle, she ran into an old friend of Carth's. Once a a Jedi exile and comrade of Carth's, Maliaki Cathlis had now become an Imperial General. Upon seeing her familiar, yet aged face, he immediately recognized her as Mara. Upon noticing Cathlis, she left the room immediately and pretended to be sick to get out of work early.

Though she attempted to warn Carth, it was already too late. Their fates were now bleaker than the night sky's.

The Assassination

Upon hearing the dreadful news, Carth immediately demanded the family begin packing immediately. When asked where they were headed, he simply said, "Far away from here, my dear." While this occurred, Mara allowed Darl and Donau leave the house to say good-bye to their friends. While the children were gone, someone came knocking on their door.

Opening the door without thinking, Mara immediately backed away from the door as she saw the figure dressed in black attire - the Imperial insignia emblazoned on his shoulder. Before she could react, she was cut down by blaster fire. Carth immediately reacted, grabbing the lightsaber he hadn't used in over a decade and defended himself. Meanwhile, Donau and Darl managed to return home just in time to watch the spectacle from a nearby window. Though, they weren't able to get a good look at the assassin's, they were able to see their father be massacred by the hitmen.

Fleeing before they could be discovered also, the two went into hiding for over a year, living on the streets of Theed. The memory of what had happened ingrained in their minds for eternity.
