Trial of Deception

Past

Born to two Jedi, Cerberus' was destine to be one of the greats of the republic. His mother Kotura, was a very wise Jedi with battle meditation. She had always wanted Cerberus to join the Order, however she knew that this was not to be possible if Cerberus was to ever find out who she was, as did his father, Hade. Hade know that it was forbidden for Jedi to have passions and emotions, "the way of the dark-side." Hade and Kotura made a arrangement with the Jedi console to train a young boy; Cerberus would be able to be raised in the Order by his parents; however, he will not be able to know who they are or the emotions that they have for him. So it was agreed, Cerberus was born in 10 ATC. From a young age, Cerberus was cunning in his knowledge of the force. He would study the teaching of the old Jedi and the ways of the present. He would try to understand their teaching to better himself and others. To believe that he was only at the age of nine by this time. The Jedi Council had taken great interest in the power that Cerberus had posed and they knew that if someone found him that they could corrupt his power. A conference was called for Hade and Kotura to attend, pertaining to the Cerberus matter. Hade and Kotura had try to tell the council that they had everything under control. They tried to explain to them that Cerberus was a good youngling and that he could do nothing wrong. The council still feared that it was too dangerous to continue to have Cerberus in the care of this parents and felt that it would be more appropriate to have in the care of one of the masters. Kotura was devastated, Cerberus was one the only thing that she had left in life, beside Hade, he was her world. Hade felt what Kotura was feeling. Cerberus was their life, he knew that Kotura would not let her son go without a fight. In the middle of the night she and Hade boarded a ship on the way to Korriban. She had not wanted to do this, but she has finally come to the conclusion that the person she was going to meet was right, and Hade was going to support her and save his family by any means necessary. Kotura was going to see a person that she has not seen since the Treaty of Coruscant, her brother Noro. Noro was a Jedi who turned to the dark side because he did not believe that the rules of the Jedi were the right ones; though, he did not call it the dark-side himself. When they arrived to Korriban they met with Noro and asked for a place to go. Still with remorse for his family in within himself, Noro took Kotura, Hade, and Cerberus back to his chambers. They discussed about what the Jedi Council wanted to do with Cerberus and how they did not want for that to happen. They knew that Noro had some good left within himself and he would be a great fit for Cerberus. Finally, they brought Cerberus into the room and told him what was about to happen. He was unable to comprehend the magnitude of the situation that he was in. Hade and Kotura told him who he really was and that they were both his parents and why they had to keep it a secret until now. They told him that he was to stay on Korriban with his uncle Noro and continue his training, while they travel to the place that he was born, Manaan.

Sith Academy Training

Cerberus at the beginning of his training was still uneasy about everything that he heard. Noro was teaching him the ways of the sith, trying to break the understanding that he had established when he was at the Jedi Temple. He was taught that emotions are good and he should always try to embrace them and let them guide him to a better discussion. He took Noro advice and began to feel a burden lift from his shoulders like he was able to let the emotions that he had locked in finally out. From that day on he was able to flourish as a Sith. He let his emotions guide him to a better understanding like he was taught to by his uncle and master. He had become more wise and able to hold his anger and use it when the time came for that. He was different from other Sith youth. He was not to lose his temper over a matter of nonsense. He understood that controlling the anger and using the emotions of others to his advantage was a better way to have the outcome that he wanted. Noro had taught him well.

Cerberus' First Lightsaber

It was at Cerberus turned 12 years of age when he finally had the chance to create his own lightsaber. It took him two tries but he was able to construct a above par saber. His saber was red, the typical saber color for a Sith youth. The power of the sword went through the veins of young Cerberus. He was able to feel a power that he had never felt before this time; he felt the power of the Sith and he craved to have more of it. Meditation was a major part of the story of Cerberus. He always believed that the mind would always overpower the body and if the mind was great enough the body would not be able to resist it. That did not mean that he was light on his skills of using a lightsaber. He was able to wield the saber like the best of them. It had even caught the eyes of the Sith Emperor who asked for Cerberus to have a meeting with him.

The meeting with the Emperor was short, the emperor wanted to see if the boy truly was as gifted as he had seemed to be in the force. The force has never lied before and it seemed like an odd time for such a thing to happen now. The Emperor had been around for about 1,000 years and there was only a few Sith who he had come across who could wield a lightsaber the way that Cerberus did, and he was so young for his age. This was the beginning of a long journey for Cerberus.

The Battle for Power and Understanding

Five years have passed since Cerberus has talked to the emperor. His skills have grown since this point and now he feels like he should try to become a Sith Warrior; however the only way that he would be able to receive this rank is by competing in a torment with his peers for the right to be called a Sith Warrior. The battle was to match each of the Acolytes together and have a tournament to see who are the most elite of the apprentices. Cerberus was not one of the favorites for the competition, but he was not the worse of the pack.

The tournament was to began and the young sith were getting mentally ready for the fight. When the fights started Cerberus had to go against the best wielder of a saber in his class Ty-roz. Ty-roz was one of the most inspiring sith in the entire academy. Cerberus was strong in the force, but he was not as good with the saber as Ty-roz was, so he know that he had to outwit him instead. Ty-roz starts the fight charging toward. Cerberus knew that Ty-roz would always start a fight with a rush, and he had problems turning to his right. Cerberus makes a quick dodge to the right and tries to make a swing at Ty-roz; Ty-roz blocks the move and then makes a swing for Cerberus, who blocks it with his blade. After ten minutes of dueling the two begin to get tired and Cerberus knows that he has to start thinking quickly. He finally decides that it is now or nothing. In a last ditch effort he dashes at Ty-roz. He anticipates that Ty-roz would try to block his attack and when he does that, Cerberus backs up and then flips to the back of Ty-roz and makes a blow toward his back. Cerberus makes a strike and Ty-roz falls to his face. The duel is over.

The Council applaud in approval. Then an order came from the emperor for Cerberus to strike down Ty-roz. Cerberus looked at Ty-roz and he thought about striking him down. He did not see the point in doing something of the sort. He wanted to be a powerful sith, but he did not think that striking down a fellow sith he would be able do become powerful in his mind. He deactivates his lightsaber and decides not to kill Ty-roz. For not following through with the order he was given, Cerberus was caged in a electric device and shocked for 24 hours. His uncle was the one who had to administer the punishment. After the pain Cerberus believed that the Sith were not good to join, nor were the Jedi. He came to the understanding that the only way that he would have true power was to have a balance between the two extremes. He did not want to be a robot following the ranks of the Jedi, nor did he want to find a heartless Sith. He must find the way to true power on his own.

The Return to Manaan

Fleeing the hold of the Sith, Cerberus turned to the only people that he thought he would be able to trust, his parents. He arranged to fly with a smuggling ship to Manaan in hopes that his parents would still be on the planet after all of this time. After a few stops the ship finally made it to the hanger of Manaan. Cerberus had a warm feeling that he had not had in a long time. This feeling that he had was different, it was not like the feeling that he had when he was with the Jedi, nor was it like the feeling that he had when he was with the Sith. This feeling that he had was the feeling of freedom it was the feeling of chains holding him back being broken. He found a service center hoping that he would be able to find the whereabouts of his parents.

He asked around everywhere to see if anyone had heard of his parents; he wasn't able to find anyone that knew them. He finally went to a Cantina for a drink when he was approached by a bounty-hunter who said that he knew of his parents. The Bounty-Hunter and Cerberus went to a corner of the Cantina to have some privacy and ability to hear each other talk. The bounty hunter told him about how he saw his parents around the planet many times and believed that there was something different about them. He said that they were acting very suspiciously, like they didn't want anyone to know who they were. After a bounty hunter rattled on and on, he finally got to the point of their discussion. He told Cerberus that both of his parents were executed for crimes that they had done in offence of the Selkath. Cerberus became outraged, he could not think of a reason for his parents to be executed, they were good people good Jedi. He ended the conversation with the Bounty Hunter in search of a reason for his parents execution.

He went to find the records of the executions from the pasted five years. He looked through the records and found that his parents were executed two years after they gave Cerberus to his uncle Noro. Cerberus could not believe it, the bounty hunter was telling the truth. This only opened up more questions for Cerberus. Why did this happen? Is there some other explanation? Would my parents really have done anything of the sort? He refused to believe that. He believed that there was hell to pay and he didnt care who was the one to pay. He found the records of the court who ruled in the trail of his parents. He also saw that the trial only lasted two weeks, he knew that there was something extremely wrong with this picture.

The first person that he found who was in control of the trial, Xyo. That night he breaks into the building that Xyo lived in. He slowly walks to the bed of Xyo and actives his saber. He wakes Xyo and starts demanding questions. After denying any knowledge of parents, Xyo finally told Cerberus the truth. He said that it was because of credits. He said that there was a major entity who wanted his parents dead because they were rooting into their plan. He said that even though they were Jedi, those odds were too great for anyone to resist. He told him that it was nothing personal that it was all about the credits. The answer that Cerberus was waiting for never came. He wanted to know the name of the entity; Xyo pleaded to Cerberus not to kill him and that he did not know the the name of the entity. In Cerberus' own words,"I should spare you? Why should I do such a thing? No, you are not worth keeping alive." Cerberus takes his saber and slices the head off of Xyo with his mouth still open. He then turns to his search for the other killers of his parents.

Revenge and the Path Back to the Dark-Side

The search for his parents killers had sent him to Coruscant the heart of the Galactic Empire. The Sith do not hold strong in Coruscant, nor do the Jedi, but Cerberus was drawing a fine line when he went to the planet. He knew that if the guard managed to figure out his identity he would be retained for questioning, Cerberus had no intentions of letting that happen. From the information that he received from Xyo the people he was looking for had some type of base sit on Coruscant. The problem that Cerberus had now was figuring out where the base was and finding his way into the base. Lucky for him he saw that Xyo had a holocron that he did not speak of when he was begging for his life (not like it would have helped him.) The holocron was from a man named Ju Horcuz. Cerberus followed his lead to all of the Cantinas on the planet that he could find, while still tying to keep a low profile. After a few days of searching he had finally got a break when a former "business" partner of Horcuz was angry about a deal that was not kept. He knew that Cerberus was looking for Horcuz and decided to meet Cerberus.

The meeting was in one of the cantina near the back, so that they could have privacy. Cerberus wanted to know everything that he could about this Horcuz and the former partner was willing to tell him. He told him that Horcuz was a smuggler who lived on this planet. He said that he might be one of the biggest scum in the galaxy, but a very devoted father. Cerberus thought about that and how it would be used to his advantage. The former partner and Cerberus talk for about another 30 minutes, telling Cerberus the ship he flew and the residence of his family. With this information, Cerberus decided to give him a "friendly" visit.

When Cerberus made it to the residence of Horcuz, there wasn't anyone home. He decided that he would scope out the place and see if he could find anything of value. As he walked around the house, he found out pictures of Horcuz and his family. He had a wife and 3 children they all looked very happy. After a while the family returned and Cerberus was waiting for them on the couch. They try to run back out of the house, but Cerberus used the force to close and lock the door. He had them all sit as he began to ask Horcuz questions in front of his family. He asked if Horcuz knew Xyo and if he knew about the death of his parents. Horcuz denied any idea of the sort, that was when Cerberus took out the holocron of Xyo and Horcuz talking. Horcuz begged and pleaded for the protection of his family. Cerberus said that he would not touch his family if he just told him who he was working for; Horcuz agreed and told him everything that he knew.

He told him that it was a Jedi who wanted his family dead. He said that the Jedi thought that it would make them lose favor with the republic if the truth about the reason why they wanted to split Cerberus and his parents. Cerberus was distort and asked if that was all that Horcuz knew. Horcuz said yes and then Cerberus paused for a brief second. His then stuns Horcuz and throws his lightsaber through the bodies of his family who are all lined in a row except his wife. Cerberus then takes his wife to the balcony and force chokes her over the ledge and lets her fall, all while Horcuz looks stunned in horror. "You helped in my families death, now you see the death of yours." Cerberus then takes Horcuz and force chokes him until he was at the brink of death let him recover and impaled him.

After killing the family, Cerberus walks out of the building now on his hunt to discover more about this Jedi.

The Final Resolution

It has been three weeks, but Cerberus still had no leads to find this Jedi. He decided that he could only ask one person for advice about what he was doing and where he should go from there; he just wondered if that person would even answer him after their last falling out. He shrugged it off, there was no way that he was returning to that place. He returned to the place he was staying at, to his surprise there was a note on the door waiting for him to read it. "Cerberus, I know who you are looking for and I know how to find them. If you would meet me at the location marked on the map which is on the other side of this message. Feeling that it was an ambush Cerberus was hesitant to go; however, he had no other leads to go on so he had no other choice then to comply with the words of the note.

He went to the location in the lower slums of Coruscant. The lower slums was filled with disjusting creatures and was controlled by the gangs who had control of different territories in the slums. He met a bounty hunter near the entrance to the Cantina. He then waved the letter in the air to try and catch the attention of the hunter. The hunter signaled for him and they began a conversation about a plan that was going on. Cerberus was told that there was to be a meeting between the bounty hunter and the Jedi that Cerberus was looking for. The hunter said that all he wanted was a modest fee for the tip about the Jedi and he would be on his way. Cerberus agreed to the wager, but said that he would only pay after the Jedi was dead.

The plan was set and Cerberus waited inside a room overhearing the conversation between the Jedi and the bounty hunter. He was able to recognize the voice, but he was not able to put the voice to a face.

Jedi-"So the task is done." Hunter-"Yes, it is. Here is his lightsaber. Jedi-"Good Good. Now that takes care of the entire family. There were a thorn in my foot you know." Hunter-"I could actually careless." Jedi-"Well now that the job is done here is your pay."

At that moment, Cerberus comes out the room and to his astonishment the Jedi was his uncle, Noro.

Noro-"Yo...You are still alive" Cerberus-"Yes uncle, I am alive. I am alive and surprised by what I am seeing." Noro-"This is not what you think Cerberus." Cerberus-"What should I be thinking uncle? That you killed my parents? That you wanted me dead? How could you do this to me uncle? We are family. My mother your sister." Noro-"Don't give me that talk Cerberus, I know who I am and I know you you are. Your parents were always wary of the Jedi Council. Thinking that they wanted to break you up. It was not the Council it was me. My perfect sister. I told the council of what they were doing and I thought that they were sure to be disciplined then, but when the council decided to do nothing about the matter, I decided to take matters into my own hands." Cerberus-"What? What are you talking about uncle." Noro-"I told your mother that the council was going to split you from her and your father. I knew that she would panic. I told here that I would take you to Korriban with me where you would be safe." Just then it all started to make since to Cerberus. He now understood why he was taken away from his parents all of the years apart from his parent because of jealousy. Noro-"No Cerberus, the Jedi have not abandon you. I made you believe so." Hunter-"No Cerberus, the Jedi have not abandon you." The bounty hunter removed his helmet, he was a Jedi Knight. Knight-"We have been watching you Cerberus for some time now. After your parents ran away from the Order and the discovery of their death we wondered what has happened. We started to investigate and all roads lead to Noro, your uncle. I'm sorry that it has to happen like this, but we needed you to hear for yourself." Cerberus-"I see, but now my mother and my father are dead and I have no family." Jedi-"That is not true, the Jedi Council and the Order are your family." Cerberus-"But what about the things that I have done?" Jedi-"They will all be forgiven." Cerberus-"All forgiven huh? Just like that. What will happen to my uncle?" Noro-"Nothing will happen to me because I wont let it!" Noro charges at Cerberus. Cerberus then grabs the saber from his uncle and force chokes him in his place. Jedi-"Cerberus, you dont want to do that stop choking him" Cerberus-"Why should I do that? He killed my parents" Jedi-"Yes he did but you don't want to be like him." Cerberus thinks. Cerberus-"No, no I don't" He lets him go and gives the saber to the Jedi, then he heads for the door. At that moment the Jedi throws the saber at Cerberus, who sees it at the last second and ducks. He then force chokes both the Jedi.

Cerberus-"DO YOU THINK THAT I AM A FOOL! I KNOW EVERYTHING THAT HAS HAPPENED! I SAW THE HOLOCRON THAT WAS DROPPED BY YOU A YOU HEADED INTO THE ROOM! I KNOW WHAT YOU AND MY UNCLE HAD IN MIND FOR ME! YOU KILLED MY PARENTS! DAMN YOU! YOU KILLED MY PARENTS!

He then increases the force on his choke and kills them both.

"It is finished."

Trial of Redemption

Homecoming

Cerberus has just returned to Korriban after eliminating the killers of his parents. He thought that if he returned to a place that was familiar to him it would take a lot off of his mind. Korriban with its dust and rocks, but it was all that Cerberus had left. The ship transporting him to Korriban was coming to a stop. The slow beat of a heart, his heart, was all that Cerberus could hear. Now back on his academy grounds, Cerberus wants to be reinstated and return to his training as a Sith....

Well, its time to do this. It has been along time since I have returned to this place. I can still feel the power of the force within it. I want that feeling again. (he says as he walks out of the hanger to the Sith academy located in the area)

He walks to the gate and is halted by sith soldiers.

HALT! Who are you, what is your business here? My name is Cerberus, and I am here to see the academy sith master. What is your business with him. It is mine and none of yours. WATCH YOUR TONE WITH ME! (reaching for his saber) I think you should watch yours with me.

The door opens and the apprentice to the master of the academy walks out.

That will be enough (the apprentice says locking eyes with Cerberus.) You, follow me. My lord wants a word with you.

They make their way to the chambers of the Sith master. The master was in a chair with his back turned to the two. After a few seconds of silence he finally turns around.

Cerberus, we have been waiting a long time for you to return. (Talking as he turns around.)

To Cerberus' astonishment it was not the same sith master from when he first left the academy. It was the apprentice of the first master. The scar on his face remained from the first time that Cerberus dueled him over a year ago.

Mare? (Cerberus says with a confused look on his face.) What happened to the.... I don't think you should worry about him that much. The earth is talking good care of him. I am the ruler now and to my surprise who would I see within a week of my reign, but a former pupil. Yes, this is a strange coincidence. Well, enough of this small talk. There must be a reason why you returned to the academy,right? Yes, I want to be reinstated. I know that I left, but I need more training and the academy is the one place that I could get it. Well, you know I cant just let you back into the program right? There arrre....task that you have to complete before you can be reinstated. Fine, what are they? Follow me.

They make their way to a duel chamber. Cerberus had a bad feeling about what he was getting. The chamber was surrounded with recruits for the academy all with their eyes on Cerberus.

Well Cerberus, are you ready for your task? Sure what is it. Them. (As he points to the recruits).

At that moment 5 rows of 2 recruits each line up to fight Cerberus

(Whispering to himself) Lets get it started.

Duel

Cerberus is getting ready for his duel with ten of the academies recruits. Although the odds were against him, he has been in situations like this. His uncle was one of those situations. He removes his robe and activates his staff in preparation for the "task" ahead. Just as he starts to activate his staff two of the recruits charge at him....

If this is how you want it. (Cerberus says as he gets into battle stance)

He takes on both recruits carefully, not wanting to give them any openings while trying to find his own. As he pushes off one of the attackers with his staff he has time to force push the other to the wall. The is a second of pause, then they return to the fighting. Cerberus stays on defense watching every move that is made by his opponents - their timing on strikes, the ways they swing their lightsaber, all of this is critical for his time to attack.

(He whispers to himself) These guys are quick. I'm going to have to be smart if I'm going to win. Well lets stop playing around.

As his opponents start to attack him again, he bounces back and force pushes them to the wall, knocking them both unconscious. As he starts to take his break, four more recruits charge at him.

I guess there is no time for rest. (He returns to his fighting stance.) Cerberus, seems like you have improved your skill since the last time you where here. However, how will you be able to handle these odds?

The sweat starts to drip from the green face of Cerberus. The recruits are not giving him an inch, attacking him on all cylinders. As soon as one person stops attacking another starts. Cerberus tries to time each attack, but the numbers are making it hard for him to understand who is attacking at which time.

(He whispers to himself)I have to calm down. I am too stressed.

The room starts to feel silent in the mind of Cerberus. The actions around him start to commence in slow motion. Now he can see everything that is happening - all the strikes and all the movements of each of his opponents. He begins his attack by force pushing one of his opponents into the sky and crashing them back on the ground. Then, as another comes to attack him, he turns off his saber and hits them across the face with the staff handle. For the final two he takes his saber and boomerangs it and knocks the sabers out of his opponents hands. Finishing the duel.

(Mare starts to applaud) Cerberus, good job. However, I must say that you have lost the sith edge that you once had. What? Why are they still alive Cerberus? If they could not prove themselves in battle, why should they still be apart of this academy? You should have eliminated your opponents. You are not a true sith, just as I thought. A true sith huh? You want me to destroy our own numbers. You want me to kill our own. Yes, kill our own! We can not have the weak within this academy. And since you don't have the strength to kill them we have to kill you. You really don't know me then, do you? Everyone after him.

Conclusion

The academy master Mare has called all of his recruits to kill Cerberus. Weakened from his duels with eight of the 10 fighters of Mare, Cerberus has to find it in himself to fight another battle. The recruits are around him in a circle enclosing him inside with no where to run or escape. The only option that he has left was to fight his way out of the academy...

The recruits start for Cerberus. He reactivates his lightsaber and doesn't hold back. Recruits start striking him from all sides as he begins to block each one. He then takes his saber and blocks and cuts off the head of 4 recruits that surround him; their heads roll the floor like dice. Recruits look at the heads roll as Cerberus continues on his rampage, slicing through the recruits in horror.

WHAT ARE YOU ALL STANDING AROUND FOR GET HIM! (Mare says with anger in his eyes.)

The recurits return to attacking Cerberus. This time more bombard him with their lightsabers. One comes from his blindside and almost pierces him, but he jumps before it makes it to him causing it to go through another attacker. He then cuts off the arm of that person. He uses force wave to push the other attackers off of him and get some rest.

You have improved haven't you Cerberus. I shouldn't have underestimated you. No you shouldn't have. (hmm) Well, that doesn't matter. You're still going to die.

The fighting continues with more and more waves of attackers charge toward Cerberus. He uses force wave again, but this time he force chokes attacks until there wasn't a breath left in their body. The numbers begin to dwindle after Cerberus swiped through each and every attacker until they were all dead. He turns and looks at Mare as the last body falls.

Well well well, looks like you are the best that this academy has to offer. You have killed each one of them. They were no good to me anyhow. What do you do now Cerberus? Do you leave? Do you try to kill me? I think I like the latter. Well, that would be nice, but I have one more "task" for you to complete.

Just as he says that, his apprentice walks out of the shadows.

This is all you have left Mare? If you want another one of yours dead, fine by me.

The fight starts with Cerberus charging at the apprentice. The apprentice then uses the force to push Cerberus off of him. Making him fall on his back.

Hmm, you are a strong one aren't you. I learned everything from my master. Well thats too bad. I feel sorry for you......Not really.

The continue fighting. They block and dodge each others saber strikes. This continues for countless minutes. The apprentice then spins blocks Cerberus' strike and breaks his staff into two.

Well, I guess we are down to one. (Saying to himself as he throws his other half of his saber to the ground).

The fight continues. The apprentice then goes after the head of Cerberus, giving Cerberus a chance to duck and come back up and cut the saber hand of the apprentice. The hand, with the saber still clinched within it, falls to the floor.

Well, you could have been a great sith, but you followed a coward. If he taught you, I'm surprised you made it this far. (As the apprentice falls to his knees, Cerberus cuts off his head.) Now it is time for you. Now now Cerberus, we don't have to get hasty. If you want back in the academy it is yours take it. Academy? What academy? I killed everyone in your week academy. I would never join something like this. I don't even know why I stayed here. You are weak still Cerberus. I don't know why he (the past Academy Master) thought of you as his best student. Why did you kill him Mare? Did he finally realize how weak you were? Did he see the coward inside of you? You do not know what you speak. He know I bound to take his place. That is the sith way. NO! That is not the sith way. We are not savages. We have order. And you broke that order.. Cerberus, you must understa- Understand what? Understand that you are a leech. Using others to take care of your own problems? You have killed the true master of this academy;now, it is time for you to die. I see that you have made up your mind. Well then COME ON!

Mare uses force lightning on Cerberus, stopping him in his tracks. He then uses the force to raise Cerberus into the air and bring him crashing back down to the floor. As Mare starts to use the force against him again, Cerberus resist and starts to bring images of horror to the mind of Mare stunning him in his place. He then charges at him with his saber ready to strike. Mare breaks the stun and pushes Cerberus back against the wall.

I have improved since the last time that we dueled Cerberus. I remember the scar that you gave me. That you have, but so have I.

The fighting commences again. They are exchanging saber strikes back and forth, neither person giving a inch. Cerberus goes for another force choke, but Mare resist and and come back with a force choke of his own. Cerberus is grasping for air as Mare holds the force grip. In a last ditch effort Cerberus gets enough energy to force throw his lightsaber at Mare, forcing him to stop his choke. As he starts to gain his breath back, Cerberus is again back on the Defensive as Mare starts to attack him. The exchange continues for countless minutes. Cerberus then tries to use horror again, but this time Mare was ready and reflects the horror back on Cerberus. Now that he is stunned again, Mare throws his saber at Cerberus, who at the last split second is able to jump out of the way. Before the saber is able to return to Mare, Cerberus force pulls it to him and connects it to the other side of his saber-staff. Mare uses force lightning, but Cerberus reflects it with his saber back to Mare and makes his way to him with Mare falling to his knees.

What are you going to do now kill me? That was the idea. (Uses Mares saber to decapitate him). I win.

Cerberus exits the Academy with the guards still on the outside unaware of the chaos that has just happened within. He then walks away from the academy a sweaty mess.

(Thinking to himself). I went into that academy, and I can now feel the power within myself that I once felt before. I can feel the power of the dark-side flowing through me once again. This academy has returned that feeling to me. That was all I needed a good duel.
