Petite and slender, this Twi'lek is often garbed in a drab, threadbare, gray loose-fitting cloak that isn't all that unlike the garments worn by the Knights of the Jedi Order. She likes to keep potential enemies off-guard in this manner; however, in reality she is heavily armed and can certainly defend herself if the need arises.

Character Quirks:

  • Rarely wears a lekku-wrap of any sort. She prefers to simply wear a cloth tied around the circumference of her head.
  • Carries an personal energy shield most of the time.
  • Has a vertical scar running across the right side of her face.
  •  Features a Rutian complexion.

Personality/Background

Born on Ord Mantell to an ex-slave and a pilot-for-hire, young Ciala's Rutian skin-hue was a surprise to both of her parents as neither one shared that trait, nor did any of their immediate relatives. After her father was killed when his ship mysteriously went down--Ciala was just four standard years of age at the time--Ciala's mother at last had a chance to express a talent very few knew she possessed (thus shedding the image that she could do little else aside from performing as an entertainer), and she was subsequently hired as a mechanic for a hanger (Kroth's Fix-It Shop) that was often a stopping-point for the smugglers and other dregs of society who happened to pass through while on "business." Her mother's proficiency for making ship-related repairs helped to solidify her position within the tiny company, allowing her to provide for her young daughter's wellbeing.

After her father's death, Ciala found that she was always enthralled with her mother's uncanny affinity for all things mechanical--particularly weapon-smithing. As a result, Ciala picked up some of these abilities herself, and by the time she approached her teenage years, Ciala possessed a gaggle of modified weapons at her disposal, and when the opportunity presented itself, she hitched a ride with a "spacer" whom she, unfortunately, fell in love with, and was inevitably devastated when he abandoned her on the ecumenopolis world of Coruscant, leaving her to fully understand what it meant to have to fend for herself.

As time wore on, the young woman cultivated numerous contacts that now serve as a network of sorts, accruing a tidy profit for herself in the process by fencing various black-market items, spice, and even by slicing weapons. (If her mother were to find out, she knows she would be none too pleased, so she tries to suppress that thought as much as possible in order to avoid a deluge of guilt coming down on her. Although she has been tempted to reestablish contact with her mother, if she could only overcome her shame over leading such a reproachable--in her mother's mind--lifestyle.)

As to be expected, she's had numerous bounty hunters come after her, but most were "green" (meaning the price on her head must be pretty low) and she easily managed to elude capture. She was almost disappointed in some ways, as this meant she wasn't "good enough" to be considered a worthy target by some of the more talented hunters.

Ciala recently acquired a very strange prize in a game of Pazaak--a datacube that seems to be inaccessible--and the young Twi'lek was subsequently approached by a mysterious being who wanted her to meet him in a factory on the lower levels of Coruscant's Nor Sector--a seedy locale reputed for its high volume of spice trafficking and gang-related violence.

With an offer of 5000 credits for an item that seems "like a piece of junk" to her, Ciala has reluctantly decided to pursue the offer. Upon arriving at the desolate, intimidating building, however, the Twi'lek starts to have second thoughts, but forces them from her mind as she navigates the sinuous, shadowy corridors within the building in her search for her "contact."
