Early History

Darth Mainyu, still in his War Armor, is told by the council what his fate is going to be.

Much of Darth Mainyu's early life remains a mystery. What little is known is that he rose through the ranks of the Sith Empire. Eventually, he ascended to the rank of Sith Lord. Upon attaining that rank, he altered his appearance. Painting his face to resemble a skull, to remind his enemies of the gruesome that awaits them.

During the Great War, he was made a general. Coordinating several attacks against the Jedi and the Republic. He was instrumental in convincing the Mandalorans to continue their blockade of key hyperspace routes for a little while longer. His tactics severely disrupted key Republic controlled hyperspace routes cutting off several enemy regiments from reinforcements and fresh supplies, making them all to easy to pick off. This gave the Empire yet another advantage in the war.

The end of the War marked a new phase for Mainyu's life. He took part in the Empires's attack on Corusant, which made what was going to happen, all the more insulting. Instead of crushing the Jedi and the Republic once and for all, the Empire made a treaty with them. This was nothing short of a slap in the face to Mainyu. He worked too hard to simply let his ememies live. Outraged, he confronted the council. In a moment of heated passion, he called the council's intelligence and commitment into question. This was uncalled for, and for his slander, the Empire branded him an exile. But, due to his contributions to the Empire, he is allowed to keep his rank and his life.

He them relocates to the forgotten world of Lehon.

A few years into his exile, a slave ship crashed on the planet's surface. There was a lone survivor. a young child. Mainyu brought her to his lab. Knowing that the crash damaged her mind too severely. Through a combination of Alchemy and science, he reprogramed her to be his lab assistant and named her Mina.

Exile's End

Ten years come and go. The Galaxy changes little as Mainyu adjusts to his life as an exile. Mainyu himself however, does not let the time go to waste. Interested in Sith alchemy from an early age, he continued his bizarre research in the seclusion of the Temple of the Ancients.

More and more, other exiles came to Lehon. As most of them weren't beyond the rank of minion, they looked to Mainyu as their leader. Despite the fact that technically Lehon is controlled by the Empire. In the fifth year of Mainyu's exile a human named Kon a Sith reject and troublemaker, began seeking more and more of Mainyu's attention While Mainyu viewed Kon as a idiot and weakling, he still had some usefulness.

As his exile reached it's tenth year, Mainyu was tired of being an outcast. Armed with a break through in carbonite freezing, which combined technology with Sith alchemy, he planned to use this as a means to end his exile. Along the way, he ran into a girl named Trisskar who stowed away on a transport vessel. Sensing a strong connection to the force, he saved her from some thugs and made her his apprentice.

With the help of his old friend, Darth Hollow he was able to send a message to the council detailing the potential of his research. Within a years time, he was granted freedom from his exile.

Coup D'etat

Landing on Korriban, with his apprentice. He planned to speak with the council, asking them to support and fund his research. Once there, his friend Darth Hollow, encountered some trouble. Not being one who deserted his allies, he dispatched the assailant. He then regrouped with Trisskar who made some new friends in the cafeteria. Once there, a powerful explosion ripped through the academy, wounding Mainyu slightly. Outraged by this, he is determined to find out who is responsible, and in so doing, sends Trisskar on her first mission alone.

Meanwhile, In the darkness of Naga Saddow's tomb, Darth Mainyu meets with another face from his past, the current head Mistress of the academy, to discuss a matter of great importance. During the meeting, he felt a great disturbance in the Force. Racing through the academy, he made his way through the ship that recently docked. When he saw Trisskar's lifeless body, He went insane. He stormed through the ship, determined to make the ones who did this pay. After torturing the sadistic Prince of the Hapes Consortium, he was left with more questions than answers. After a chance meeting from a Sith Assassin, he confronted Nital for her role in this. She return extended an offer that could be most beneficial to the Sith Lord.

Insurrection

Master and Apprentice do battle on Onderon.

Word eventually reached Darth Mainyu that a contested world; Onderon could join the empire of Pro-Sith forces prevail. So together with his apprentice went to the war ravaged planet. On the way, Mainyu discovered his apprentice's ability to go into very powerful rages. Almost as if she became another being entirely. Sensing that her inner beast was starting to overtake her mind, he used the Force to place several barriers in her mind to keep it at bay.

This, however, was only the beginning..He found himself caught in the middle of a Civil War. In which he had to ally himself with his sworn enemy in order to get himself and his apprentice out of here alive.

Second Chances

A year after Trisskar's apparent "death" and rescue, by his hands. Mainyu decided it was time to give his apprentice one more chance to prove her worth to him.

Felucia

Feeling a bit nostalgic, Mainyu (along with his apprentice) decide to accompany a fleet of Sith Warships. Upon noticing that the commanding officer is not worthy of commanding anything, Mainyu decides to take the ship out from unde him. Using Trisskar to keep him out of the way. As Mainyu begins to take over the ship, a Republic cruiser appears and a battle ensues. Mainyu's experience in the war proves invaluable as he quickly comes up with a strategy that all but destroys the enemy ship.

Liuth

Mainyu was offered the chance to do some research at a secret facility on the Sith world of Liuth. The locals were gaining Force sensitivity out of thin air. And while research on this was slow, the team started to yield results. Until however, A Sith Lord named Zinthos decided to work on experiment of his own, one that could threaten to undermine their efforts . Mainyu, along with Sinji of Bones took matters into their own hands.

Mainyu is now locked in a duel with the renegade Sith Lord.

Personality

Mainyu, Triss and Mina on Lehon.

Twisted and macabre, Mainyu's personality is driven by a mixture of madness and his unquenchable curiosity. These traits are made evident by his experiments in Sith Alchemy. Being a general in the war, he not only has become indifferent to the sight of blood, but there is a certain expectation on his part, that blood be spilled. Sadistic and cruel, he takes pleasure in seeing people at each other's throats, harming themselves and others. He has a reputation of being somewhat of a hothead, overreacting when things go wrong.

Concepts such as love, compassion and grief are alien to him. But, with the addition of Trisskar in his life, he is starting to discover those aspects about himself, albeit unconsciously.
