Names

Originally named Kira'alin by her parents, she was later given the name Prava by the Sith. Unfortunately having no knowledge of her past, the first and only name she remembered being called by was Prava and it would also be the most well known amongst the Sith. When asked for her name by a group of Jedi, she said the first thing which came to mind besides Prava, which was Kirali, unconsciously tapping into her actual name. Only with the aid of her current Master Zelkin Infinium has she been able to dig through her jumbled past and reclaim her memories one of which revealed to her, her true name, Kira'alin, which she has converted into Kirali. And therefore the name which she currently goes by at this point and time is Kirali.

And now you know why I might be alternating between names in correspondance with the time period things take place in.

Quotes/Mottos

"So save your 'everyone has a choice' speech for someone else, under the Force I never had a real one. You followed it or it dragged you, either way you end up at the same place."

"You must stay in control of your emotions. Employ them of course because that is what fuels the dark side of the Force, but you must control them and not allow your emotions to control you. You have to be the center of the storm so to speak."

Appearance

Prava is a Lethan Twi'lek. The red pigment of her skin can be attributed to a genetic mutation and therefore makes Lethan Twi'leks rare.

She possesses a rather slender build and stands at a mere 5' 3" and therefore really doesn't have an imposing presence. Her Lekku (headtails) are longer than average and adorned with very primitive sharp tattoos which are a slightly darker red than her skin. Prava believes she was given them during processing and has remembered having them ever sense she was retrieved by the Sith. Over time she has simply added to them when she felt the need which is a very painful process considering the sensitivity of Lekku.

The one truly imposing feature she does possess though are her bright red eyes. The hues seems to almost fluctuate with her mood and when the dark side is apparent or Force Nightmare is in use the yellow streaks which run through them give the appearance of a blazing fire as they act almost like a window to her inner state or a glimpse into her past.

She currently possesses two sets of robes, a more baggy and worn all black set from prior to meeting Zelkin which seemed to rather well depict the darker and more worn state of her being from having to constantly evade the Sith searching for her. With the black robes, she wore black fingerless gloves, black boots, a black Lekku wrap and a bright red belt with a diamond like pattern on it which she fastened her lightsabers to.

The second set which she currently wears, she designed herself to suit her tastes. The much more fitted attire consists of a dark gray shirt which bells out at the sleeves with bright red accents. Over the shirt, a black tunic like article of clothing rests which trails down beyond the same old red and black diamond pattern belt to form a skirt of sorts with red accents as well. She wears loose dark gray pants which trail down from the hip and cut off at her upper calf allowing her black boots with slight touches of red to show. Her old black fingerless gloves, she's replaced with a more intricate design stretching up to her mid forearm. Segments of the fabric of the gloves has been cut away allowing her red skin to show through. A red diamond like design rests on the top of her hands and trails down her arm as it tapers off. These gloves are also fingerless like the originals. Despite changing most of her attire, she still wears the same red and black belt and the same tattered black hooded cape from before.

Lightsabers

Prava possessed two identical orange blades lightsabers of her own design. Both possessing three prongs or a sort of crown and a silver and black striped appearance, the stripes running perpendicular to the length of the lightsaber and at various slight angles on occasion.

After leaving one of these lightsabers with Van Fanle, she sifted through the assortment of artifacts she had recently taken from her old Master and felt that one of the sabers just seemed to call to her. Discovering that the fit seemed almost perfect, she opted to continue using this hilt rather than construct another of her own design. The Silver and charcoal gray saber, tapers to a jagged point which pokes from the end of the hilt and the blade is bright red in coloration.

Both of the sabers she uses could very well be employed to stab people when disengaged. Both have also been upgraded numerous times to suit her tastes.

History

Pre-Sith

As a young child, a Sith Lord infiltrated Kirali's home, killing both her parents who each attempted to fight off the intruder with their own lightsabers, as to whether they were Jedi or not though is unknown. The Sith Lord succeeding in killing Kirali's mother but when engaging her father was critically wounded before ending his life as well. In his dying moments the Sith Lord placed a hand on the horror stricken Kirali's head through this contact he was able to implant various memories into her mind and in doing so caused most everything prior to the incident to be wiped from her memory, her name, her childhood, friends, family, etc... . The first real thing she can remember is that day.

Life in the Sith Empire

Blacking out from the sudden strain placed on her mind, she woke up at a Sith complex and during processing was given the name Prava. Shortly after, she was transported to a Sith academy in the more unsettled regions of Korriban to train under the guidance of Lord Cystor, the head of the complex. Lord Cystor believed in the philosophy of adaptation and competition breeding the best Sith and therefore training typically consisted of multitiudes of students being thrown in perilous situations (many times involving his favorite pet, his black Rancor) and observing the outcome. According to his view, if they were 'fit to be Sith' they would live, if not... then they met a justly deserved end. Plauged by the random flashes of memories which seemed to be triggered in certain situations, these conditions were actually perfect for Prava while not so much for the other students, the vast majority of which died.  Her Master's love of creatures also led her to discover her natural affinity for organic Sith alchemy which she practiced on the large collection of creatures at the compound with Cystor's permission... coincidentally most of these creatures ended up killing her fellow students further proliferating their hatred of her.

Meeting with Cystor a few days before she was to face her final test before offically beind inducted into the Sith Empire, the man finally realized what exactly was going on in Prava's mind, the source of the her success... the implanted memories. Being a power hungry and a collector of various artifacts, this led him to believe he could find some way to pull the knowledge from her mind and take it for his own, Prava however had no intentions of letting him. Beating Cystor into submission, she made him swear to never utter a word about it. Unfortunately the man couldn't keep his mouth shut for very long and a few other Sith began to follow in his route and attempt to exploit her condition.

Ascending to offically becoming a Sith Knight, Prava was given basic more military oriented training before being stationed on the Abraxas (a large Sith starship opperated by Admiral Sunrunner) and sent out on specific missions on the Emperor's orders. Each mission seemed to trigger more and more 'flashes' causing to have a difficult time distinguishing between what she actually experienced and what was a foreign memory. After being stationed on Thule in order to help oversee the management of creatures being experimented and tested in the arenas on the planet, she saw her chance to get relief and seized it.

Escape on the Shade Bender

As she watched a young man, Van Fanle, leap from the observation deck of the arena and aid the Jedi below, she decided to take her chances. Joining in the subsequent chaos, she helped the Jedi escape while getting some much desired revenge on her comrades and leaving them with a nice parting gift... having to round up one of the monsters which she had created earlier with the intent of it becoming a Jedi killer. When asked to give a name, she fell back on the first thing which came to mind, Kirali. She spent a notable length of time on the Shade Bender, Van's ship, surrounded by Jedi which just seemed to make her more and more stir crazy especially considering her apparent hatred of ships bred from being stationed aboard the Abraxas. During this period Prava also endured quite a struggle keeping her past separate from the memories which were implanted. When the ship was forced to land on Tatooine to get supplies, she freed a young Twi'lek girl in the process of being sold as a slave named Ava. The young girl latched onto the Sith once they returned to the Shade Bender much to Prava's dismay.

Making a second stop at Taris to attain parts after a ship malfunction, Prava had the joy of unleashing her pent up frustration on a gang which seemed to have taken up residence and controlled a lower portion of the remains of the lower city... the Black Rancors. Upon infiltrating the headquarters, doing considerable damage and wandering off alone after Van and the Mandalorian who had stowed away on board the Shade Bender, Cassus, arrived , something struck her... the symbol, the name... her old Master was involved. Unfortunately the realization led to her robbing him blind before she realized that he apparently was on planet when he jammed a lightsaber into Van's chest. Finally killing her Master in concordance with the promise she made to kill him should he mention her condition to anyone, Prava was able to return to the Shade bender with Cassus and Van where Van was treated for his wound.

Finally arriving at the Shade Bender's intended destination... Tython, Prava began to wish she had gotten off a lot earlier despite the fact that neither Taris or Tatooine were planets she would deem suitable. As those in the group were asked to be brought before the Jedi Council, she pondered running but unfortunately was rounded up and brought before them much to her displeasure. Luckily for her, the Jedi seemed willing to let her go after the help she had provided but of course after they mentioned possibly having to kill Van due to some prophecy she was unable to quell her hatred of their hypocracy and ignorance. Fortunately she was able to leave before anything more than harsh words were exchanged.

Onderon Conflict

Shortly after meeting with the Council, Prava left the planet rather abruptly leaving behind one of her twin orange sabers for Van to act as a reminder of the advice she'd given him after hearing the council's agenda... to leave the Jedi. Boarding a ship leaving for Onderon after posing as a Jedi wanting to aid in whatever crisis it was the pilot was talking about (at the time she really didn't care), she left Tython and the Jedi behind.

Shedding the pilot on arrival, Prava found herself on Iziz which was currently under Sith occupation. Due to the flashes and in part by the pull of the Force, she decided to reclaim some object which seemed to have been linked to the memories in some form or fashion. Empolying the help of the Jedi apparently attempting to take back the palace, she infiltrated it, left a nice trail of dead bodies along the way and grabbed the object she was after, a map of sorts. Sensing the Lords in charge of the operation falling, she decided to help eliminate the last of them in hopes of removing those who might report her presence back to the Sith Empire. Unfortunately though after extensive use of illusions, Darth Adhoura escaped. After observing his mastery though, she was able to adapt the method to suit her own needs.

Deciding to test the slight trust she seemed to be building up with the Jedi, she recommended an assualt on the Sith flagship leading the blockade of the planet so she could access the uplink to the Sith databases the Admiral would undoubtedly possess. After rendering the ship unoperational and aiding the Jedi in capturing the Admiral, she employed the use of a Doppleganger through and advanced illusion technique to trick the Jedi while she accessed the database and attained the knowledge she needed to gather... the location of another item. Leaving on board a starfighter she commandeered, Prava headed for Korriban leaving the Jedi behind and robbing them of any useful information the Admiral they captured might have possessed.

Meeting Zelkin Infinium

Arriving on Korriban after a rather long spell away from what she considered her 'home', Prava headed towards the Valley of the Dark Lords towards the tomb constructed in Exar Kun's honor to retrieve the artifact her old Master had stashed there. Spotting another Sith entering though, she became a bit apprehensive and of course her mind jumped to the worse possible conclusion... what if he's after what I'm after? Following behind she quickly decided in her mind that she would kill the man but things went a bit differently than she anticipated. After perking her curiousity with mention of freeing the galaxy, Zelkin Infinium proposed the possiblity of becoming her Master and Prava accepted wanting the knowledge he possessed for her own.

After Zelkin helped her find the holocron shards she was searching for, she helped him deduce the location where the plans for the Force Harvester could be found. Zelkin gave her a Void Prism pendent to aid her and sent her to Rhen Var to retrieve the plans.

Rhen Var

Leaving Korriban, she immediately headed towards the ice covered planet Rhen Var employing the guidance of her implanted memories. Prava landed at a Republic observation post posing as a rudimentary settlement unfortunately, they attempted to apprehend her which resulted in the head of the outpost dying and the rest slaughtering each other in extreme paranoia, a result of the fear she induced within them as she left. Wandering the planet she was led on a detour or sorts before finally arriving at her intended destination of Ulic Qel-Droma's tomb where she grabbed the information she required, happened upon an old starship from whatever memory she invoked and left the planet, returning to Korriban.   (a more in depth account can be found here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=12022)

The Fate Shatter

After returning to Korriban, Prava happened upon one of the Jedi from Onderon, Lucas Dawn, and converted him to the darkside after he asked various questions in regards to it. While in the midst of teaching Lucas, Zelkin returned and summoned her. Zelkin welcomed Lucas into his fold and sent him to his outpost before departing with Prava to the Fate Shatter. There he began her training. Zelkin had aided her in sorting through her jumbled past where she learned her real name Kira'alin and shed the title of Darth Prava refering to herself as Kirali. After Zelkin taught her various lightsaber forms, he guided her through the final steps allowing her to shed the shackles of the Force. Her intended purpose is to power the Fate Shatter, she will control it via the Force Master System and thus she has remained on the ship and in charge during his absence.

(will update as it progresses through role play)

Personality

Prior to meeting Zelkin, Prava's personality was jumbled and conflicted. Primarily driven by shear hatred and rage, she tended to lash out at whatever she could while still demonstrating the ability to show restraint when required primarily for manipulation. She never truly knew if what she preferred or excelled at was her own doing or a side effect of the implanted memories.

Currently, she has a rather calm and reserved demeanor. She tends to keep a rather tight leash on her emotions, allowing them to come through when she feels they would be best employed. She is manipulative and has always been manipulative from using her fellow students at the academy to using the Jedi to escape Thule, to the conflict on Onderon, and as seen when she turned Terra, a young Jedi and friend of one of her Master's enemies, into an ally.

Knowledge and information have always been something she craves, not so much due to power but simply because she likes to be informed and capable of making educated decisions on her own. If faced with a belief which she finds wrong, she won't hesitate to rip it to shreds with logic and intellect.

She holds a hatred for the Force for taking her family from her, for robbing her of a potentially otherwise enjoyable life, for taking even the memory of her life before the Sith, and for subjecting her to conditions she endured at the academy. She like her current Master, is a firm believer in freedom and that one should be able to carve their own path rather than have the Force dictate it for them. She truly believes she never really had a choice, that she was fated to her destined end in life no matter which path she choose until bumping into Zelkin.

She absolutely loathes ships with a passion, the Fate Shatter has been the rare exception to that for the primary reason that she could plug herself into the Force Master system and fight if required as well as the shear size of the vessel.

While typically proper and formal when around groups of others, she tends to let her guard down around those she's interacted with for longer periods of time especially Zelkin Infinium and one could also say Van.

There are several quirks Kirali has which appear to be remnants of her days at the academy on Korriban and her period as an escapee. She is an extremely light sleeper and can be prone to striking out and attacking anything which wakes her. Fortunately time on the Fate Shatter where she hasn't had to continually watch her back has helped remedy the situation to a degree and when not in a hostile environment, she makes it a point to not keep her lightsabers within her reach when resting lest she accidentally cleave someone's head from their shoulders. She tends to eat only what she needs to to get by preferring to often go without meals completely in situations where she feels caution is warranted which likely attributes her her thin frame and small build to a degree. Kirali also has little to no issues with sleeping on the ground or other hard places. Having spent quite awhile running from the Sith, she's adapted to be able to rest just about anywhere. Her time spent on the Shade Bender in particular where she found herself retreating to a place back near the engine room in order to avoid the Jedi on the ship while she slept can likely be labeled as one of the main reasons for this behavior on top of the fact that the beds at the academy weren't necessarily soft in the slightest.

Relationships

Having never really known her family, she has no family ties.

She tends to become somewhat attached to any creatures she comes into contact with, especially those which have been captured and caged despite the fact that she spent most of the years of her younger life combating beasts as part of training. This is probably due to some sort of kinship she shares with beings that have been transported from their homes to be moulded into whatever it is others so desire. The attachment though has died over the years after having to watch others break it time and time again. She was especially fond of an Akul during her academy days which her old Master gave her to experiment on. In the end though Cystor was merely providing a gateway for attachment so it could be broken and in doing so hardened Prava.

She suffered a similar issue with a squad of soldiers which were placed in her command. After enduring a few years of missions with the group, she became rather attached to her men. This of course prompted her to be reassigned and the unit to be terminated in order to encourage her progress. After enduring such episodes of loss over and over again, she keeps a closer watch on herself and loss doesn't quite have the same effect on her that it used to.

Despite it though, she is rather fond of Zelkin and seems to view Van Fanle in sort of a 'little brother' like way. She also has some attachment to the men and women who operate the Fate Shatter after spending weeks with them.

Powers/Abilities

Kirali would be classified as a Sith Lord, one who's focus is primarily in the knowledge of the Force and using it to attack.

Having been trained by Zelkin Infinium though who is a Maurader, she does possess knowledge of various lightsaber forms and is rather skilled in Shien, Ataru, Juyo, and Jar'kai. She is also capable of using the same dual saber Shien technique as Zelkin and prefers blending it with Ataru and the occasional bout of Juyo.

Kirali has a rather deep repertoire of Force powers to draw upon, partily in fact to the naturally deep reserves of Force which she possesses, partially due to the memories allowing to tap into knowledge she wouldn't otherwise possess and partially due to training she had recieved over the years.

She is very skilled in Force Illusions which she picked up after watching Darth Adhoura on Onderon. Starting with a basic and very rudimentary knowledge she has since built on it evolving into the mastery she possesses now. While on Onderon she adapted this power to create a Doppleganger of herself with the combination of Force Illusion and Telekinesis giving it the appearance of being real and capable of interacting with the environment around it, use of this power though is incredibly taxing and something she only reserves for situations where it's a necessity. She also possesses the ablity to cloak herself in the Force becoming for all intensive purposes invisible although she rather hates relying on it for anything more than short durations.

She is skilled telekinetic abilities such as Crush, Push, Pull and various variations of the powers such as Repulse, Lightsaber Throw, and Choke.

Horror, Force Lightning, Drain Knowledge, and Drain Life consist of some of the darker powers she knows although she considers Drain Life a last ditch power and despises using it due to what she percieves to be its potentially addicting nature.

Kirali also is skilled in the art of infiltrating and twisting minds and memories, a skill set she most often uses on beasts but which she readily employs if she needs to gather information quickly or delve a bit deeper into an enemy's thoughts or memories.

She possesses a very rudimentary knowledge of Force Protection which she employs to sustain a shield of Force energy to absorb some attack damage for a limited amount of time before fading.

Through her training with Zelkin Infinium, she has picked up his Lightning Grenade technique which is a combination of using the powers of Force Push and Lighting in conjunction with one another to produce a grenade like effect which envelops the immediate area on contact. She has developed her own version of this power, Lighting Bomb, which is a more condensed version of Lightning Grenade. While Grenade explodes on compact, Lightning Bomb, sticks to whatever surface it comes in contact with granting fifteen seconds of time to elapse before engulfing the area in an electric field. Zelkin also imparted upon her his Force Nightmare ability which invokes the worse memories of any being which she locks eyes with to replay over and over in their minds. If held long enough it has the potential to drive them to insanity and death due to the mind being unable to handle the images any longer. When this power is being employes, her eyes take on a bright yellow hue and the veins running through her eyeballs become more pronounced due to the channeling of the darkside through them which takes place.

Kirali also has knowledge of Sith alchemy primarily focused on biological aspects and manipulating creatures in particular. Through the aid of the Force, she is able to enfuse beasts with the darkside mutating them into monsters. Combining this power with her mind controlling abilities, she is able to have direct control over creatures for certain periods of time and on different scales depending on the beast's will power.

While capable of flying a ship if needed, Kirali loathes flying and will rarely do so unless she has to. She'd much rather leech off of others and grab rides when needed than fly. This is partially because she likes to feel in control, beind enclosed in a metal box where most of her Force powers can't be applied it not her idea of control, due to the long periods of service she spent aboard the Abraxas where she tended to go stir crazy at times, and to the fact that it was a way for the Sith Empire to keep her their undercontrol by not teaching her the finer points of flying.
