History
Jensen was drafted into the Republic Naval Engineers at the age of 17 as part of the 2409th Coruscant enrollment. He served on the Illustrious Chorus, a Hammerhead-class Crusier, rising from the rank of Machinist Mate 2nd Class to NCO. After helping to prevent a reactor meltdown, he was promoted to Master Chief Petty Officer, and assigned to the Chorus's Marine Detachment as a Heavy Weapons and Tech Specialist.
This promotion ended up saving his life. As Jensen helped strengthen the Coruscanti ground defenses, the Illustrious Chorus met it's end in high orbit during the opening salvo's of the Seige of Coruscant. Jensen was one of only 12 members of the crew to survive. He spent the last days of the war fighting with the Planetary defenders during the Siege.
At the war's end, he resigned from the Military and worked as a freighter crewman. His short-lived career ended in a catastrophic explosion, which resulted in him spending a month in a Kolto Tank. After several weeks of skulking around a cantina on Coruscant, he was recruited by a local Sith Officer, who successfully manipulated Jensen's feelings of betrayal in order to turn him against the Republic. Jensen now believes the only hope for the galaxy is to be united under the protection of the Emperor.
Languages
Jensen only speaks Basic, and displays open disregard for alien languages. However, he can understand Binary with near-perfect comprehension, even in droids he is not familiar with. This unusual ability - combined with his tendancies to treat droids as equals and not second-class beings - gives him a rapor with droids few others can boast.
Family
Jensen has not revealed any information regarding his family background, although he is outspokenly proud of his Coruscanti heritage. The only person Jensen has any interaction with who knew his ex-wife is his close friend Kruz.
Any attempt to use the force to gain additional information on this would reveal that Jensen's memories are painful and full of loss, but nothing more.
Personality
His greatest defining characteristic is his loyalty. If he feels he has been betrayed, he will never trust the offending party again, and will often be openly hostile towards them. He is strongly devoted to the well-being of his homeworld, but was willing to see it laid waste if that was what beating the Sith required. The humiliating surrender of the Treaty of Coruscant deeply affected him, and resulted in his decision to leave the Republic Military immediately. He harbours deep resentment towards the republic and Jedi in particular.
With strangers and friends alike, Jensen initially comes across as friendly and jovial. However, he displays a much darker side when confronted with dangerous situations, and will remorselessly kill if the situation calls for it. He lacks the leadership abilities necessary to lead a group, but makes an excellent number-two man.
