Life before the Jedi (16-14 BTC)

Born on the Core world of Ator, Kael was the oldest of three children. Although his family tried they could not afford to care for all their children. So his parents gratefully gave Kael to the Jedi Order when he showed the ability to use the Force. Kael left his family for the Jedi Temple on Coruscant at the age of 2.

Life as a Youngling(14-4 BTC)

Kael adapted well to his new life at the Temple making many friends among the Temples younglings. Kael showed great potential in his early lightsaber training. When Kael was not practicing with his lightsaber, he could often be found in the Jedi Archives reading about the great battles in the Jedi Orders history. When Kael was 12 years old he was sent to the Jedi Garrison on Yavin 4 as a precaution against loosing the future of the Jedi Order if the Sith struck.

Life as a Padawan (4 BTC-3 ATC )

Upon his arrival at the Jedi Garrison on Yavin 4, Kael was assigned to the Dewback Clan to learn under the Jedi Master Spenta Myrunji.

• Meeting Adegan

During Kael's first training experience with Master Spenta Myrunji, he was ordered to enter a cave. Kael did so and upon entering the cave was confronted with a dark specter that tried to tempt Kael to the dark side before eventually attacking. When the specter attacked it revealed itself to be a droid with a glowing crystal at its heart. Somehow the crystal enabled the droid to use the Force and Kael was hard pressed to stop its assault. Before Kael could retaliate or investigate the strange occurrence further his Master appeared and stopped the battle. He later informed Kael that the droid he fought was called Adegan and was a memento from his Masters Master. Adegan was supposed to test Kael's abilities but a full blown lightsaber duel was not what his master intended.

• Mission to Alderaan

In 1 ATC Kael accompanied his Master along with smuggler Jarric Harn and fellow Padawan Valo Talison to the planet of Alderaan to investigate reports of a Sith base. The group arrived on the planet without incident and began to scout the area. They quickly encountered a Sith patrol and engaged them. Kael and Valo entered the engagement with training lightsabers that still had the safeties on and prevented the lightsaber from causing fatal injuries. After the fight the two Padawans learned about this feature and removed it from their lightsabers. The group donned the uniforms and proceeded with their mission but were intercepted by another Sith patrol who citing protocol took the group to the Sith base for questioning. Once in the base the group was escorted to see the base commander who began to question them. At this point Jarric opened fire on the commander and the room descended into a all out fire fight. Kael and Valo provided cover while Jarric set the base to self destruct. The group fled the base just in time before it exploded. The group then returned to the Garrison on Yavin 4 their mission completed.

• Crash Landing on Maridun

In 3 ATC Kael was aboard a shuttle with his Master Spenta Myrunji, Lady Rah'ayy Myrunji, and Padawans Kankuro Atkatski and Atceth Keason when it crashed landed on the planet Maridun. The group split up to secure food water and fire wood. Kael and his Master went to gather firewood. On the journey Kael and his Master headed towards a copse of trees and encountered a group of Fwits. Not wanting to destroy the native creatures Kael and his Master left the pack and found another source of firewood. On the journey back Kael's Master asked him how he felt he was progressing in his training, Kael told his Master that he felt he was close to Knighthood. Spenta listened to his Padawan but kept his own council about his Padawans readiness. When the duo arrived back at the crash site they sat down to wait for the other group when Padawan Kankuro Akatski ran back into the camp and warned them that something was wrong with Lady Myrunji and Atceth. The trio hurried and rejoined Lady Myrunji and Atceth. Lady Myrunji and Atceth had been subject to a Force Block technique by a strange man. Kael picked up the unconscious Atceth and carried him back to camp with the group. When the group returned to camp Kael began to feel weary himself and was informed that by touching Atceth he had been subjected to the same Force blocking technique that had rendered Atceth unconscious. While Spenta went to gather information on this strange character, Kael along with Lady Myrunji meditated and removed the blocks on themselves.

When Spenta returned he informed the group the mysterious man was in fact a Jedi Exile that Spenta had served with in the wars. Fearing an imminent confrontation Kael and Lady Myrunji were dispatched to a high area hill to prepare defenses, while Spenta and Kankuro would delay the man. Kael and Lady Myrunji prepared a defensive position and settled down to wait for their companions to join them. Before their companions could the Jedi Exile appeared and engaged Kael and Lady Myrunji in combat. The duo fought the Exile and the battle was held even until the arrival of Kankuro who having secured the unconscious Atceth joined the battle against the exile. Against the combined forces of the four the Jedi Exile fled and the group remained vigilant for the next few days until they were picked up by Republic Order forces but the Jedi Exile didn't make a reappearance.

  Kael Myec's Dual-Phase Lightsaber

Under the tutelage of Master Spenta Myrunji Kael was tasked with creating his own lightsaber. Kael studied many different lightsaber designs before deciding to create a dual-phase lightsaber. his reasoning being that the variable blade length would help compensate for the lack of mobility in Kaels preferred combat style of Form V. After many months of trials and many failures including one notable attempt where Kael melted the workbench into slag, Kael was finally able to complete his dual-phase lightsaber.

Kael's Jedi Trials (3 ATC)

In late 3 ATC Kael underwent his Jedi Trials without his knowledge that he was being tested.

• Trial of Skill

For Kael's Trial of Skill he was sent on a solo mission to Ord Mantell to investigate a interruption in supply shipments to the Republic Order Garrison. Upon arrival Kael set about his investigation and soon uncovered that the supply shipments were being hijacked soon after leaving the planet. Stowing away on the next shipment Kael was aboard the ship when it was captured. The shipments were being hijacked by a Sith Warrior using a droid crewed ship. Kael boarded the ship and confronted the warrior. The two engaged in a fierce lightsaber duel with Kael emerging the victor. With the data from the Sith's navicomputer Kael was able to recover all of the supplies and return them to the Republic Order. Little did Kael know that his duel would be counted as his Trial of Skill.

• Trial of the Flesh

For Kael's Trial of Flesh while on a mission he was captured and transported to Tatooine. When the shuttle Kael was being transported in was traveling Kael managed to break his restraints and escape the shuttle. Unfortunately the shuttle was deep over the Dune Sea without any civilization or life for many kilometers. Using the Force Kael figured a the direction of the nearest settlement and started his journey in that direction. The journey would take him three days of trekking across the endless desert with no food and what meager water he could gather from rock outcroppings in the night. Using his training Kael slowed his metabolism and found refugee in the Force during his harsh journey. When he finally arrived at a small moisture farm he was able to recover from his trek. After his two week recovery Kael was taken to the local starport by the moisture farmer and he found passage back to the Republic Order. This harsh test on Tatooine would serve as Kael's Trial of the Flesh.

• Trial of Courage

Kael's Trial of Courage took place on a mission with his Master Spenta Myrunji to the planet of Oseon. Their mission was to locate and extract a Republic informant from the planet. Upon arrival Kael and Spenta set about trying to find the informant, after a week of searching they discovered that the informant had been captured and taken to the local Sith Garrison. Kael and Spenta discussed their options and decided to try and infiltrate the base and rescue the informant. The initial infiltration went well and the duo made their way into the base and to where the informant was told to be held. However the information was released by the Sith in a effort to root out more informants, Kael and Spenta had walked into a trap. Kael and Spenta fought their way out of the trap and escaped, but in the escape Spenta was poisoned and when the duo made it to their safe house he had to enter a healing trance to remove the poison and heal himself which would leave him out of commission for several days. While his Master was out the Flamewind began stranding Kael and Spenta on Oseon for the week it would last. Kael decided to continue the mission and continued the search for the informant. Kael finally made a visual confirmation of the informant at a small Sith base. Kael learned that the informant was scheduled to be executed, Kael couldn't let the man be executed for supporting the Republic without trying to save him and decided without any advisement from his Master or the Jedi Council to rescue the informant. He carefully planned his assault and before he left he recorded a message for his Master explaining his actions in the likely event that he did not return from the mission. Kael fought through the base and reached the informant and lead him out but as they reached the exit Sith reinforcements arrived, Kael ordered the informant to the safe house where his Master would protect him, Kael valiantly turned and held the Sith off while the informant made his escape. The informant reached Spenta who was just coming out of his trance and hurriedly explained the situation to him, Spenta got the informant to their ship and using the Force guided himself to his Padawan. Spenta arrived to find the Sith Base in flames and his Padawan no where in sight, reaching out with the Force Spenta found Kael's Force signature and found his Padawan pinned under a crumbled wall bodies of Sith soldiers surrounding him. Spenta retrieved his Padawan and using the Force navigated through the Flamewind taking Kael and the informant to safety. Kaels rescue mission of the informant against the long odds of the Sith Base would serve as his Trial of Courage.

• Trial of Spirit

Kaels Trial of Spirit took place on a trip with his Master to Coruscant. During the trip to the Republic Capital the two discussed the Treaty of Coruscant and what it meant for the Jedi who were being blamed for the unfavorable terms and why the Jedi had been forced off of Coruscant to their home world of Tython. Kael felt strongly that the Jedi should not be blamed but understood why they were acting as the scapegoats for the Republic. When the duo arrived on Coruscant they made their way to the remains of the Jedi Temple and Kael was overcome with grief and anger at the sight. This was the first time he had returned since he left the Temple for the Republic Order many years ago and he felt a strong sense of loss for his former home. Overcome with anger and other negative emotions Kael grappled with feelings of responsibility for friends who had died while he was not their and what could have been done if had been present during the Sacking. After a time of conflict within himself Kael came to the conclusion that no matter how much he wanted to he could not save everyone and that somethings could not be changed. Kael emerged from the Temple remains as a better person and had unknowingly passed his Trial of Spirit that his Master had taken him on.

Life as a Jedi Knight (3 ATC-)

After passing his Jedi Trials and being Knighted in 3 ATC, Kael began to serve the Republic as a full Jedi Knight.

• The way of the Guardian

Upon being Knighted Kael had to decide what path he wanted to continue in. Did he want to peruse the higher mysteries of the Force as a Jedi Consular or did he want to stand firm and defend with a lightsaber in his hand and the Force at his back like a Jedi Guardian. After much meditation on the subject Kael decided to continue on and specialize as a Jedi Guardian. Now decided Kael began to devote much of his time to learning battle tactics, mastering lightsaber styles, and other things essential for a Jedi Guardian. Eventually he would go on to fully Master three different lightsaber Forms. His first form was Form V in both the Shien and Djem So variants. The next form he set about mastering was Form IV the acrobatic Ataru. Then setting his sights on a more refined lightsaber dueling style Kael undertook the task of mastering Form II the elegant Makashi. Kael chose to master Ataru and Makashi to compliment the two variants of From V, Ataru to compliment Shien and Makashi to compliment Djem So. In addition to complimenting the variants of Form V, the additional forms gave Kael a much larger arsenal to draw from in combat situations.

• Padawan Val Gith

Soon after being Knighted Kael was called upon by the Republic Order leadership to take a Padawan and finish his training. Kael agreed and was assigned to be the Master of a Kel Dor named Val Gith. Val Gith was a Padawan who was close to being ready for knighthood but had been sent off of Dorin to gain more experience in the galaxy at large and it fell to Kael to teach the Kel Dor about the Force and the Galaxy outside of Dorin. When Kael first met his Padawan he decided to test the Kel Dor's mettle in combat and engaged in a sparring match with his Padawan. The two were evenly matched and soon were locked in a heated struggle. Val Gith however conceded defeat to Kael and the match was over, the two then realized that over the course of their match they had completely destroyed the training yard they were in. This fact would come back to haunt Kael as he was forbidden from engaging in training with his lightsaber while within the Republic Order compound and was forced to use a Training lightsaber that would not actually harm the infrastructure from then on whenever he trained a student inside the compound.

The two became a good partnership as Kael polished the few rough edges Val Gith had and Kael finally announced that Val Gith was ready. After giving his endorsement Val Gith was Knighted and inducted into the Order as a full Jedi Knight.

• Padawan Inexus Aphilay

In 7 ATC Kael was again called on by the Republic Order leadership to take a new Padawan and complete his training. Again Kael was assigned to a Kel Dor from Dorin, the Kel Dor in this case was named Inexus Aphilay.
