Information

To create a fun Role-Play environment on our sever. To teach the Jedi’s Lore, History, and Culture to our members. To give an authentic and friendly atmosphere for those who are seeking to engage with the universe George Lucas created all those years ago. The Knights of Sokan are dedicated to creating a well-rounded community open to all wishing to learn the ways of the Jedi.

Guild Background

((Coming soon))

About us

All new members are able to jump right into the world of Sokan. Be it PVP, RP, or PVE, new members will be able to experience all that our guild has to offer. Working besides a Master, Padawan’s begin a journey of thrilling adventure and intellectual enlightenment. This journey is only completed once the Padawan has proven their worth, having gone through the Trials of Knighthood. Once Knighted, they are granted all the responsibilities and privileges of a Jedi Knight including: being able to take a Padawan of their own, being allowed to RP a Knight in any Guild RP, and being able to strive towards becoming a Master.

The Knights of Sokan will be holding four in-game events a month. These events will comprise of one PVP event, one PVE event, a guild-wide RP, and a guild meeting. The events will be lead by their corresponding Council Member, with assistance from all other members of the department. Keep in mind that as a RP guild, even the PVP and PVE events will have a RP feel to them, and there will be a justification within our lore for the events that are occurring.

The actual PVP, PVE, and raid events will all be held OOC, but will often have a small RP preceding or following them, to solidify the continuing lore elements we hope to incorporate in all aspects of the guild.

Above all else, The Knights of Sokan is a RP guild. We hope to provide a community in which our members can continue to focus on teamwork, character development, lore, and the Master and Apprentice system.

If you are interested in joining, please feel free to visit our forums (found here) and submit an application. We are currently actively recruiting anyone and everyone interested in participating in our community and who are willing to follow our guidelines.

We also encourage any other Republic or Jedi Order guilds to stop by our forums. It provides a medium for us to discuss private matters and setup cross-guild Role-Playing events.

How to Join

Anyone who is seeking membership should visit our forums. We are accepting anyone who is willing to work hard on developing both the guild and their personal stories, but want a good community to help bear some of the responsibility. Members should understand that “rank” is not important, it’s the development of your individual story that is the goal. Applicants should be at least 16 years of age, willing to work towards developing strong RP skills, and ready to follow the Jedi Code in-game.

Positions

Council

The guild itself is lead by a six-member Council. All Council members have the responsibility of overseeing a certain area of the guild: Recruiting, Guild Relations, PVP, PVE, RP, Community, and Administration. These areas are overseen by the Council, which votes on all major decisions that will affect the Guild as a whole. The guild has no traditional GM, and is more or less a decmocracy when major decisions are to be made. Democracy is the only GM of Sokan.

Masters

The highest rank our normal members can receive, the rank of Jedi Master is for those members who have proven their dedication and loyalty. They have experience training Padawans, and as such they have become teachers for the entire guild, for their role as a mentor has not come to an end, but has just began. They are the Junior Officers of the Guild, and work closely with the Council. They are allowed to pick their own apprentices, and are given the privalage of taking more than one if they so chose. Masters of Lore, History, and the Jedi, our Masters are the very pinnacle of what Sokan has to offer.

Knights

A distinguished individual within the Order, these members make up the backbone of the guild. Our Jedi Knights are allocated to one of the various departments in order to better assist the guild. After choosing their department, the Knights aid the Masters in making sure the guild continues to function. They are designated a Padawan, which they will guide throughout their training. They are expected to create separate RP events with their Padawan, teach them Lore and Jedi History, and aid them in developing their stories. Knights must be able to assist their Padawans, show a strong passion for the Jedi Code, and live up to Sokan’s standards.

Padawans

The students of our Order, Initiates are granted the Padawan status after passing the Council’s Transition Test. The Council assigns each Padawan a Master, which will aid them throughout their training and beyond. The Padawan’s sole job is to learn all their new Master has to teach, and to continually develop their character's story. When their Master feels the Padawan is ready, they must bring their Padawan before the Council to be judged. The Padawan is then given a series of Trials they must complete in order to become a Jedi Knight.

Younglings

No longer a Trail Member, this member will work with the Council and will be given a few brief lessons along their way. When it is shown that the youngling has a grasp on some basic lore and Rp skills a Knight, Master, or Council member will be found to become the Youngling’s Master.

Divisions

Knights of Sokan
Knights of Sokan
Each division or department in the guild is run by a council member. Each division can also have several Jedi masters or knights supporting the council master in their respectable divisions. All members can and are encouraged to take part in all area of the guild and game play and will not be subject to only there division. The main purpose of the divisions is to have a chain of command for each division, and someone to replace a member if needed. For example if a master cannot perform his duty a Knight from that division will step in. In each division Council Masters, Jedi Masters and Knights are given titles. (this may change). All members, when they reach Knight, are allowed to choose what division of the guild they would like to participate in running. The divisions also reflect the 3 major types of Jedi but are not a full representation of what that Jedi class is capable of doing. I.E. you can be a Jedi Consular and take part and excel at PvE and we encourage you to do so. The Jedi titles in the guild are not here to restrict anyone in game play but to add a more of an inclusive and unique role play experience. From the three main Jedi roles that you can choose from (Consular, Guardian, Sentinel) you can follow your path get promoted in guild and in your division
