Background
Born into a minor clan on Uba III where tribal warfare dominates most aspects of life, during his early years the child was (as are most children in the Uba system ) exposed to the slogans and sermons that proclaimed the righteousness of his clan's bloody feuds. Holding a less xenophobic outlook than many of his clansmen, upon attaining adulthood through the conventions of clan traditions the young Ubese eschewed the current economic instability on Uba to seek off-world opportunities. Reasoning that his loyalty was strong and that any success of his will reflect well on the clan he left with his elders' approval.
A few short months after leaving the Uba system the Ubese was employed by one Yeve Tolspan, captain of the freighter Jetsom where he adopted the assumed name Redwatch. Following an overheard conversation between Tolspan and her first mate revealing that his twenty percent was of a false sum, Redwatch confronted the captain offering her the chance to pay him arreas for the true credit percentages he was due. His year's service on board the Jetsom came abruptly to an end. When the bodies of Tolspan and her first mate were discovered authorities quickly concluded death by misadventure, the Jetsom having long been suspected of illicit trading.Preferring not to ally himself too closely with any one particular patron, Redwatch became known amongst some smuggling rings as a reliable extra hand. His recent dealings earned him a reputation for neutrality and discretion. Hiring himself out as a freelance proctor also served in introducing to his homeworld clan a number of useful people.
The Present
The most important and most profitable business exchanges in the known galaxy are to be made in the core world systems with no place more affluent than Couruscant. And what is true for lawful business is invariably doubly so for illegal dealings. The lower levels of the city-planet cater to the tastes of the less respectable Republic citizenry and it is here Redwatch finds most of his employment.Aside from his involvement in smuggling operations there are a number of roles Redwatch has previously undertaken and for which past and prospective employers can expect him to ably perform. These include (but are not limited to) light mercenary work, sensitive information couriering, sabotage and bounty hunting. Due to the strong ties he maintains to his homeworld and clan job offers of smuggling weaponry and ordnance are always of particular interest. Disregarding the accidental deaths of bystanders and casualties of war which are innevitable when one's business necessitates arms dealing, Redwatch in as far as possible avoids work where undeserving people are killed.
To prevent any old grudge-baring acquaintances making an appearance Redwatch is careful not develop a routine on Courscant. He can however be contacted via the Holonet and is currenly available for hire.
