Information
Who We Are:
Divisional System
The Regal Order introduces an intricate divisional system that will offer an opportunity to unite players of many different play-styles under one banner. Divisions will be led by officers who have a limited number of players permitted within their division and are responsible for recruiting within their own division. Divisions will be divided by faction, Sith Empire or Galactic Republic, and may be further divided by play-styles depending on the number of players involved.
Galactic Republic | Sith Empire
Many players have no idea which faction they will join, and a large portion of the ones who do will change their minds many times over before release. This will cause conflict with many players who wish to play a different faction but enjoy the guild they originally joined which is of the other. Regal Order will have players in both factions, on the same server hopefully if not then on separate servers. Players who change their mind on which faction they join don’t have to seek out other guilds, keep their ranks, and enjoy the same community they did before.
Time Zones
Keeping with the fundamental idea that everyone can find a place in this guild, players from any time zone is welcome. While we will be joining a North American server, we welcome players from around the world. The divisional system outlined above means that the opportunity is there to have a EU or other time zone based division.
How It Comes Together
Here is an outline of the different play-styles and how Regal Order will attempt to enhance each play-style in their own right.
Raiding Division
Contact: AshenWarrior (Sythe) [division leader]
Players who raid often will always be first choice on raids and we will no doubt have a strong core of very experienced raiding players. If raiding is extensive enough, then the Regal Order will have a custom designed DKP database for SWTOR.
What they offer: PvP: Most raiding players PvP when they aren’t raiding, having a core of players already in the guild who are 100% committed to progressive PvP will help the raiding core by providing insight into PvP trends, builds, strategies etc. which the entire guild will no doubt pick up on in guild chat and vent.
Casual Division
Contact: Sindorin [division leader]
Many casual players are those who do love to raid but don’t have the schedule to do so. These type of players help a raiding core by providing players to bring in if a specific class is needed that the raid is lacking either because a certain raid needs a strange composition of player classes/builds or because a key class simply couldn’t show up for the raid.
Crafters: Not having to go out of guild to find a crafter, especially for consumables, is a big bonus. Many raiding players craft in their spare time but the convenience of having players devoted to crafting is a luxury most don’t have. Also some raids in MMO’s, server or worldwide events especially, often require a crafter of a certain level.
PvP Division
Contact: Klund [GM]
From the division leader:
Welcome to Vanguard, the primary Player versus Player division within the Regal Order guild. It is our focus to become the most lethal, most battle hardened warriors on the battlefield. Our ability to be reavers that tear through our enemies with ease, enables us to be the best competitors in the game's PvP framework. Being in Vanguard takes hard work, dedication, cooperation and a great degree of skill that is developed through hours upon hours of practice and play.
A Note About Crafting
Crafters are people that our order has great respect for and many make a name for themselves that more people know of than any other player on a server if even for the simple fact they tailored bags for half the server. Having players who raid and PvP in the same guild means an automatic market for those who enjoy this as well as a large number of players to obtain ingredients/mats.
What they offer: Raiders: If, as many MMO’s have, there are included raids which drop rare crafting materials then this offers opportunities to be the first to craft those items. Also raiders consistently need to purchase the highest quality consumables.
PvP: Players who do progressive PvP are the biggest buyers of all manners of consumables and need them often. They are also the best players to have by your side if someone is ganking in harvesting areas.

Division History

DATA ENTRY A1: TEXT VERSION:
The Omega Unit is a highly trained contingency of soldiers deployed by the Regal Order, a military organization comprised of members from all across the galaxy.
The Great Galactic War raged for decades. Many worlds were utterly ravaged during the Sith Empire's unprecedented onslaught, leaving them with no choice but to surrender to its might in order to ensure their survival.
Now the galaxy is reeling from the events triggered by the Treaty of Coruscant, which mandated an immediate ceasefire and the withdrawal of all Jedi and Republic forces from battlefields throughout the galaxy.
Following the Cold War, a time of tenuous peace that existed between the two antipathetic factions, conflict began to consume the galaxy once again, and from the ashes of destruction arose a group of valiant men and women willing to lay down their very lives in order to defend their territory and beliefs.
These courageous beings, soldiers united together under the banner of the Regal Order, recruited the aid of a disenfranchised band of Jedi who had refused to relocate to the lush world of Tython in the aftermath of the demolishment of their Temple on Coruscant at the hands of the Sith Empire.
Together these Jedi Knights worked in unison with the soldiers, eventually coming to form their own military unit, only known by the code name "Omega." Within this unit now exists two separate squads--one led by the Jedi Knights, the other led by the soldiers of the Regal Order. The two have become allies through their points of commonality, and now the division opens its gates to anyone who offers a talent that the contingency could find useful, and Jedi who are still affiliated with the Order on Tython have also joined the ranks of the Omega Unit with the permission of the Jedi Council, thus allowing the division to engender and foster a close relationship with the Jedi Order itself.
Those who aspire to join the ranks of our division must exhibit a proficiency within a field that is somehow of use to us in some capacity.
Upon acceptance into the Omega Unit, a soldier will be assigned to one of the two squadrons within the division; this is dependent upon whether the soldier is affiliated with the Jedi Order, as its members will be assigned to the squad that exclusively consists of members from within their own faction. All others will be assigned to the primary squadron (also known as "Squad O1") under the leadership of their respective commander.
Carry on, recruit! And may the Force be with you.
--Captain Novar
OOC Information:
Dv. Omega is the role-play division of the Regal Order, and, as such, make certain that you have read all of the criteria involved before submitting an application to join this division.
Our Primary Focus
Dv. Omega's predominant focus is, of course, centered on conducting and formulating all activities that pertain to role-playing, creative writing endeavors (such as fan fiction), the discussion of Star Wars canon, and the discussion/continuance of guild-based lore.
We are not only representatives of our guild, but the role-playing community in general, and so we must strive to achieve the highest possible degree of excellence in how we comport ourselves in every aspect of our behavior.
We will be holding events, hosting post-by-post RP threads, writing fan fiction, and reaching out to the role-play community by assisting newer role-players in order to mold them into excellent writers and by creating helpful threads designed to assist the community and generate positive exposure for our division and the Regal Order in general.
"Heavy" RP and What It Means
Utilizing the standard terminology applied to role-play guilds of varying degrees, Dv. Omega is, by designation, a heavy-role-play section within the Regal Order.
While TOR is not released yet, it is safe to assume that we will have the ability to forge our own chat channels within the game once it is live. This means that we will have a strictly IC (in character) channel that we use in the game, and a separate OOC (out of character) channel to discuss role-play matters, in addition to the standard guild chat.
Our policy is that you MUST remain in character while speaking in the public chat channels, such as /say, /yell and/or their equivalents.
Role-play Division Requirements
If you join this division, needless to say, you MUST participate in guild-oriented role-play activities. If you are uncertain as to whether or not you wish to do this, you can still join another division and "test the waters," figuratively speaking, by joining us in one of our role-play events or forum activities.
Application Process
It is imperative that you follow this process exactly as it is outlined in this section, otherwise your application may be discarded.
The point of this section of the application is to prove to us that you are truly interested in this division and have an actual desire to contribute to our role-play endeavors in a meaningful way.
When you submit your application for this division, please include the following information in the body of your pos (note that you do not have to stick with this character; we need an example to demonstrate the applicant's interest in role-playing, however):
Character name: (Try to include a first and last name unless it's inappropriate for your chosen species to do so, such as in the case of Wookiees, for example.)
Character species:
Character affiliation: (If your character has no affiliation, then simply write "N/A.")
Character alignment: (For example, "neutral" or "chaotic good.")
Character age: (You may include a year of birth, if you prefer it. Make sure to use the appropriate dating systems utilized in the Star Wars universe. These include BBY/before the battle of Yavin, ABY/after the battle of Yavin, BTC/before the Treaty of Coruscant, and ATC/after the Treaty of Coruscant.)
Character height:
Character appearance: (Provide a brief description of your character's hair color/style, clothing, weapons, etc.)
Character background:
You do NOT have to actually use this character in any specific role-play sessions, but I just want to see that you are familiar with role-playing and the character creation process in general.
If you need assistance with this, you may request it by posting in this forum.
Interview Process
If your application is sufficient, I will be conducting an interview with you, most likely via Ventrilo's text-chat component. If you prefer voice chat, this is also an option, but it is not a requirement to apply to the RP division, unlike the other divisions.
Attendance Requirements
You must post on our guild forums at least once per week. If you are absent without notice for more than two weeks, you are subject to removal from the division, and possibly the entire guild.
Ranks Within the Order
The first tier of ranks, E-1 through E-8, are non-officer positions. Ranks O-1 through O-8 are officer ranks.
Divisions earn points and use these to promote members within their respective division at the end of each month as points allow. The cost of each promotion is rank specific. For E|2 to E|8 you take the points of the new promotion rank and double the number to receive the point cost. For officers, O|1 to O|4, you take the point value, put a 1 before it, then double the number to receive the point cost. In addition, to be promoted an officer, from E|8 to O|1, it costs an additional 20 points. O|4 is the highest rank a member can be appointed to by a Dv. leader. After O|4, promotions are a Council decision.
