Quotes/Mottos
"Once you find the ssource, all groupss will move onto it and evac will be provided." - Skursir briefing EPOCH and Sith'ari Task force
"This is a job for a servant not a bounty hunter, I will not stoop to this level of slavery!" - Skursir's thought when asked to pull out chairs for the Falleen
Appearance
"his will was as iron as his hide" - Jylan Trell's thoughts
Skursir is a large Trandoshan, looking quite youthful and energetic. He has a few small scars that don't seem to heal, varying from cuts to burns. He has green eyes, a slightly uncommon feature among Trandoshans. He also has sandy brown scales, with a very slight reddish tinge. This is not uncommon, along with his sharp claws and fangs which are almost mandatory among trandoshans. On a whole, Skursir looks like a normal Trandoshan, youthful though, but with no cybernetics. You can pick up some hints, from the scars and other features, that he has been in a few fights, though most of his kind have.
Though he appears strong, he is more slim than not and is by no means a heavy weight. Even so, his gnarled face alone gives off an aura of authority and power. On the back of his right hand, tatooed onto his scales is a red emblem that looks similar to a tear drop, with a single spot found in the middle of it. This emblem appears to have been done from an early age as it is now stretched and worn, but not to the extent that it has started to fade. The most severe wound that Skursir appears to have is that of a large set of scarrs on his back in the form of a claw swipe. It may be from a creature native to Trandosha or it may very well be the claws of a wookie bloodthirsty enough to draw its claws and draw shame to it.
History
Childhood (BTC 15 - ATC 0)
"Born on Trandosha and raissed to be a warrior, nothing sspecial there. I tried out a life of law, but it wass not for me. The rest, asss they ssay, iss hisstory" - Skursir
Skursir was born at 15 BTC (Before the Treaty of Coruscant) in Varic, Trandosha. It was an area famed for it's sandstorms and so Skursir, along with all the other youths of the area, grew up hardened. Skursir's ancestors had all been in the fighting trade, Skursir's grandfather himself had been a guardian to the famed Warlord's palace on Hsskhor, and his parents were in no mind to break up the tradition. Skursir learnt with a training sword at the tender age of 7 (9 in human years) and picked it up very well, even able to surprise his father with self taught techniques.
The war between the Sith and the Republic had almost no affect on Skursir's upbringing. He had no knowledge of any battles nearby and all diplomatic talks were done in the capital far away. However, many neighbours left, some to sign up with either side, most usually Sith while others left to employ their bounty hunting techniques. Other than that, Skursir was oblivious to the war and continued to live out a normal life. When he was 8, Skursir made his first kill with his mother's blaster on a burglar who had foolishly crept in to steal anything of value. He was rewarded with an expensive knife from his father, for initiative and bravery.
At the time, Skursir was excelling in secondary education, displaying a great mental capacity and getting himself noticed by several academic establishments. He set his goals to become a man of law, to prove to the galaxy that the Trandoshans were all far from bloodthirsty. He had no trouble in getting accepted into Trandosha's University in Hsskhor to study law. However, he had a very different future awaiting him.
Republic Service (ATC 0 - ATC 3)
"My loyalty iss with the Republic, ssir..." - Skursir
Skursir came into Republic service just before the Treaty of Coruscant, leaving University to lead a more adventerous life. The Republic was an easy side to back as Trandoshans were one of the first to side with them. He was recruited and trained as a private. There, he learnt basic skills such as wielding an assault rifle, working in a group, survival skills as well as some various others such as first aid. Coupled with his close combat training by his father and previous experiances with weapons, Skursir quickly became his squad's offensive specialist and within a month of guard duty on Alderaan, he was promoted to a more advanced squad specifically designed to be vanguards for any offensive that the Republic may pull off. He was too late to see direct Republic-Imperial action however.
But, on Alderaan, a rival house threatened House Organa with mercenaries. Skursir and his squad destroyed the mercenaries and swiftly put the house under martial law. Skursir and his squad were then taken off world to Ord Mantell where help was needed in wiping out a newly formed Seperatist force. They were successful in doing so and discovered that the Seperatists had Imperial backing. For the first time, Skursir fought against a Sith Warrior. The onslaught took Skursir by surprise as he had not believed such people existed. He fought back the Sith, and through some miracle, landed a decapitating blow using his ornate vibrosword.Skursir never rose far in ranks, making it to Sergeant but not further. He went under the leadership of Commander Hus Kenti who utilised Skursir's immense loyalty to the Republic to perform specialist tasks such as enforcing cargo ships, aquiring intelligence and acting as a messenger. Under this leadership, Skursir learnt how to slice. Though his skills were far from professional, he found some joy in understanding computers and droids. However, his role was crucial in several skirmishes and operations that the Republic masterminded - Skursir was somewhat an unsung hero. As such, Skursir became the target of an assassination attempt, though which he swiftly beat down.
A Seperatist offensive led to the end of Skursir's career with Hus Kenti losing his life in a barrage of enemy fire. With no anchor to hold him down, Skursir was posted to Balmorra in a new squad to bring reinforcements to the Balmorran people and test the treaty with the Sith. Even less action was seen as it was more a case of hit and run attacks with no real objective other than to aggrevate the Empire troops and pull some pressure off the Balmorrans. A seed of corruption in Skursir's head from his time on Ord Mantell made him think of turning private and with the Republic seemingly doing little, Skursir questioned his loyalty for the first time.
In 3 ATC, Skursir found his chance to desert the Republic when a cargo ship came in delivering supplies. As it turned out, he was discovered by the commanding officer of the operation. Threatening to turn him into Republic authorities, Skursir shot him twice. Disposing of the body, Skursir then hid on the ship as it took off for Coruscant. Unfortunately, it wasn't hard to put two and two together with one missing soldier and a murdered officer in the shrubs near the flight pad. Skursir was labled a traitor, making himself an enemy of the Republic. Luckily, the authorities had more important people to chase and with no hard evidance of any crime, Skursir was dishonourably discharged.
Early Life as a Bounty Hunter (ATC 3 - ATC 10)
"Your loyalty to the Falleen seems as strong as mine yet I have seen no evidence of why." - Aleena Fel
With little money, Skursir roamed the underbelly of Coruscant for a long 6 Standard Galactic Month, but he found some work as a bouncer and even managed to become bodyguard for several kingpins of crime in the Coruscant lower levels. His work did not go un-noticed and in one of the clubs he was guarding, he was approached by a mysterious individual named Creed Dekkar. The man was impressed with his history of being a bodyguard and Republic service, and offered Skursir a place in Agents of the E.P.O.C.H. (Elimination and Protection Operations for Contractual Hire). Skursir was startled by the offer, but gratefully accepted, following the footsteps of his family as a bounty hunter.
Skursir began work performing minor operations for the E.P.O.C.H. As it was his speciality, he went about enforcing his clients with much needed man power as well as tracking down fugitives and in one particular instance, he assassinated one of the crime lords that he had protected earlier. His real breakthrough came when he was sent to confirm a large contract with Galactic Trade Commission. His powers of negotiation enabled him to establish three more contracts with the GTC, catching the intrest of the Mysterious Falleen who was the man behind the EPOCH. This breakthrough came Skursir a significant cash bonus enabling him to buy better armour and earning him the rank of Agent and Ambassador were he then became a leading force in creating pacts between organisations and was the primary voice between E.P.O.C.H and the GTC.
One of the later contracts with the Galactic Trade Commission was an arms deal that would help supply the EPOCH. This was performed in the Hyperion luxury bar where the Falleen would also be attending along with a Vigo of the GTC. However, a security breach followed coupled with the arrogance of both Falleen and Arms Dealer caused the deal to fall through dispite Skursir's best efforts. The relationship with the GTC was soon ended after that. Skursir's ambassadorial status wasn't tarnished for long as in the same night, he greeted members of the breakaway Sith faction The Sith'ari Path, and travelled to the Sith'ari Base on Korriban to strike an alliance between the Sith and EPOCH. This was successful and only a month later, EPOCH recieved a contract to track down a transmission to an unknown planet.

Personality
"Well, You've met Skursir I see - he's a professional and quite open minded, for a Trandoshan." - Tris Klusto
Though Skursir inherited a bloodlust and offensiveness from his family, he has learnt to keep it reserved and instead displays a calm, collected and slightly defensive approach to things, rare to his race. He is straight talking and very diplomatic, but he was not taught these traits. Instead, he came upon these traits naturally. Unfortunately, he is not subtle, though he can still perform infiltration, albeit not amazingly well. However, he has an extremely strong sense of honour which was enforced upon him by the values of his family. So much so, that he is capable of taking a bullet for the one that he is defending or even refuse an alternative contract, even if it pays more, merely on the basis that the contractor hired him first. He also has a love for different cultures and knowledge, making him very sophisticated for his kind. The reason for this is even unknown to him, though Skursir assumes that it is on the basis that to understand an enemy is to evaluate its strengths and weaknesses. As for knowledge, he is inquisitive, but not so far as to jeoperdise himself and anyone else.
Skills/Attributes
"You know I don't get you Skursir. You have the skill and knowledge to work solo..." - Commander Hus Kenti
Weaponry
Skursir has been known to use many different kinds of weapons. In one instance, he used a fork to cripple a running mark. However, he always carried an ornate vibrosword which was said to have been his Grandfather's as a Temple Guard. This vibrosword was mainly made from Phrik. This allows Skursir to successfully combat lightsabres/
Armour
Skursir is known to wear heavy armour that covers his whole body. This armour is thought to be a custom made suit. It contains Cortosis and so if very effective against both lightsabres and blasters. It is also quite fear inducing, striking a degree of terror into the enemy. Of course, being so large, the suit slows Skursir's movement and it is a struggle to give chase. But due to the powerful structure of the armour, Skursir is often the spearhead of the guild's assaults and is often picked to protected envoys and important figues. All in the name of credits of course.Languages
Dosh In Varic, Dosh was almost the only language children ever heard, save for spacers turning into a canteen every now and then for much needed refreshments. Skursir's father used to say that Dosh was the only language a Trandoshan ever needed to know, as long as you had a protocol droid along with you. Skursir rejected this way of thinking, becoming interested in other cultures, but for a long time, up until he joined the Republic, Dosh was the language that Skursir spoke the most. Once an agent in the EPOCH, Skursir found it rare to be speaking Dosh, instead, using Basic.
Galactic Basic In what little schooling Skursir recieved, it was mandatory that he learn Galactic Basic, an initiative made to give students a better chance of success in the galaxy, instead of staying on the homeworld. Skursir, unlike many others, took up Basic and ended up becoming the best at it in his school, able to use it as effectively as his home tongue. Throughout his life, Skursir ended up using more and more of Galactic Basic, eventually, it became the language he spoke the most of. It was partly because of this that Skursir became such a successful diplomat.
