Background

Theodore Creon was born into the upper-middle echelons of society of the Core Worlds on the Corellian System’s capital planet of Corellia. Given a comparatively good start in life he attended state run schools until the hard work and promise he showed won him entry into the University of Coruscant’s School of Business and Economics. Here he specialised in Business Psychology whilst studying in tandem remote courses in Intergalactic History and Xenopsychology. Such a combination of specialisations ensured him very lucrative work prospects upon graduation, as he had intended when designing his curriculum.

Walking straight into a position carefully selected from a shortlist of offers made by an impressive number of industry leading organisations, Theodore enjoyed the challenges and opportunities not often given to one at the very start of their career. It was during his time at the Trade Commission when, though he had already made a name for himself, Theodore earned true recognition for his unprecedented success in business negotiations. It became a standing joke amongst friends and colleagues that Creon used ‘Jedi mind tricks’ to sway deals to his advantage so outrageous were the concessions wrung from his seemingly pleased opponents with many a suspicious party often checking his independently accredited certification on this matter.

An ugly smear campaign likely intended to damage his exemplary reputation hit the Holonet exposing Theodore’s secret relationship with a Coruscant University faculty member many years his senior dating back to when he was still a student. Apologising unreservedly to the University his paramour immediately stepped down from her position but unfortunately for those responsible for the allegations, rather than seeing him disgraced and his reputation diminished, Creon’s openness in his response and the resulting outcome served to humanise him in the eyes of his associates. In his reply to the exposé Theodore expressed his honest relief and actually gave thanks that the secret was finally revealed; the excruciating period of hiding his love was over. The handsome couple announced their engagement and were married shortly after, cementing Creon’s newly enhanced reputation as a romantic and somewhat of a maverick in his personal life.

His career over the next two decades one can describe as illustrious. Moving early into the freelance market saw Creon approached by many varied business clients where negotiation needs applied.

Working for many a planetary government Creon’s notoriety also extended into the area of diplomacy with successes achieved in border disputes and conflict resolution, though these contracts were in the overall minority.

During this time Theodore and his wife raised two children, though one tragically died at a very young age from a rapid onset of Knowt’s Disease. Creon absented himself from his work during this period which was the first of only two occasions he was known to take leave from his business engagements. The second time was during the more recent event of his wife’s untimely death, though to his credit Creon saw the resolution of his professional responsibilities at the time before succumbing to grief. This second family bereavement served to strengthen the bond between Theodore and his grown daughter with whom he was known to share a close relationship.

The Present

Creon is presently residing on Tython where it is rumored he is engaged in secret talks with the Jedi. On behalf of whom is not known. In the preceding years he had been completing business engagements representing an increasing proportion of anonymous clients in widely varying arenas of interest. Some close friends attribute the recent strange dealings he has accepted to his wife’s death, saying she had been his moral compass. Others defend the man. They point out that although he has made a couple of deals which a few years ago may have left a bad taste in mouth, they were only ever ethically questionable to one side of the table and never illegal.

It is clear to all however that the clients he chooses to work for pay well. Indeed this is generally attributed as the reason behind his decisions. The nature of his work demands that Creon travel the length and breadth of the galaxy, but his rise in wealth provides well for his daughter and furnishes him with a luxurious apartment on Coruscant where he officially resides.
