Quotes/Mottos
"No one ever suspects that the cute little Twi'lek girl's gonna punch a dagger through their spine."
"You saber-wielding egotistical maniacs are all alike aren't you? Whether Jedi or Sith you're always pushing your problems onto the rest of us for the shear fact that we're there to have it pushed on us."
"Don't touch me!!!'
"They told you that I’d take it didn’t they. I doubt they factored in everything else, the fact I’m a heartless schutta, or that I just love ticking people like you off far too much."
"What are you my long lost mutant human big brother I never had or something? Or perhaps just one of the pervs who assumes that because a cheeka dresses up at a nice party and has a drink in hand that she would even consider throwing herself at a wermo like you?"
Appearance
Vix is a Rutian Twi'lek with skin that is a moderately bright blue in color. She stands at around 5'4" tall and is of a rather slender yet muscular build. Her eyes are lime green in coloration and while the left one is actually a bio-mechanical replacement, one cannot tell unless she begins to enter fits of rage or other emotions or if she begins looking in two directions at once.
Typically she wears a black leather lekku wrap which crosses her forehead and runs along the side of her face over her ears while straps come off the main headpiece and wrap around her head tails. She usually sports a set of black combat boots, a pair of tight black pants, an almost black sleeveless shirt with a light gray trim, a silver belt which disguises her stealth field generator, and her trusty black jacket with light gray accents which houses the majority of her weaponry securely out of sight.
Ships
Vix has been through several ships in her lifetime, many of which have been claimed by various missions are due to the fact that certain groups were able to easily identify them causing her to purchase new ones.
Xiphas
The most recent of her ships would be the Xiphas, an upgrade from the Star Saber design which she somehow attained despite it's current experimental and prototype status. The starfighter sports two turbolasers mounted on each wing, a missile bay on the underside of each wing capable of launching four smaller missiles at once and is replished through stores also kept in the wings. It is capapble of carrying up to twelve of these smaller missles and reloading takes some time.
The Xiphas sports a rather tough security system, after locking the ship various alarms and electric devices will trip to discourage theft. On a recent trip to Nar Shaddaa Vix had two smaller rapid firing pop out turrets installed on the underside, unfortunately the turrets lack the software necessary to determine friend or foe and shoot everything that moves otherwise requiring caution to ensure they are activated and deactivated properly by the security remote. The Xiphas opens via the cockpit glass lifting up from the hinges connected at the back. The starfighter is made to carry two and has a pilot's seat and a passenger seat directly behind it. Vix hopes to have it adjusted so that whomever is in the passenger's seat will be able to operate the security turrets to aid in battle if necessary but the ship needs extensive modifications before that becomes a reality. Typically the backseat is just used to store gear which she needs to be able to access quickly. Vix tends to keep a large quanity of explosives in the backseat due to her belief of 'if she's going to die, she's sure going to take some of them down with her'.
The starfighter is capable of hyperspace jumps and can make multiple jumps in succession depending on the amount of fuel consumed prior to jumping to lightspeed, the distance of the jumps, etc... The craft is highly manuverable and possesses light shields which tend to fade after taking a hit or two, fortunately Vix is a very capable pilot which combined with the craft's agility make up for the lightness of the shields.
The Xiphas unfortunately was lost in the battle of the Necrowound which took place in the Unknown Regions with the purpose of stopping Zelkin Infinium from destroying the Force... although Vix personally just wanted payback from AoD and Centurion and could have cared less about saving the Force since it never did anything good for her anyways.
Davaab
Currently she flies a Davaab-type starfighter of Mandalorian design which she aquired from Maria Kalenath during the battle of the Necrowound after loosing the Xiphas. The ship is heavily modified possessing one heavy laser which can be controlled by the pilot and a turret able to turn 180 degrees which is controlled by a gunner. The starfighter is outfitted for speed and manuverability sacrificing some of the fighter's armor in order to achieve the more nimble build.
While Vix appreciates the ship, the assassin sees the Davaab as little more than a temporary substitue to hold her over before she can find a true replacement for the Xiphas. As to whether or not this ship will survive the coming battle... it's anyone's guess.
History
Early Life
Born on Ryloth, Vix was sold to slavers by her father at around the age of 7. After being forsaken by her only known family she abandoned her given name of Lava'alin. Being sold from master to master she finally ended up in the clutches of an up and coming Hutt. Watching the bounty hunters and other various unsavory types come and go from the Hutt's Nal Huttal fortress ideas began swirling around in her head. Using her skill in dancing to her advantage she progressed up the ranks becoming the Hutt's most prized dancer giving her the opportunity to interact with the people who came and went from the Hutt's abode. Overtime the Twi'lek was able to learn the basics of combat and seizing an opportunity which was flung upon her one night she was able to sneak aboard a mercenary's ship as he left the fortress.
Learning the Trade
Finding herself on Nar Shadaa Vix, now around 16 years of age began attempting to make her way in the galaxy running various odd jobs and building her reputation before establishing herself as a capable assassin in a matter of a few quick years while befriending a female Hutt named Cranna who Vix refers to as Crinkles which is short for crinkly old Hutt spawn. Surprisingly the Twi'lek was contacted by other Hutts on Nal Huttal who offered to pay her a rather large sum of credits to kill her old master after they learned that he had been backstabbing the family and draining away their resources and funds for his own purposes. Vix happily accepted and upon completing her mission she returned to Nar Shadaa with plenty of credits to help her acquire some of the finer things in life.
Using her new found money she bought a mid sized ship and began going from planet to planet working for various employers. She's been around the galaxy a few times so far doing a variety of things from assassinations, corporate spying, thievery, protection, and gathering intelligence although she still calls herself an assassin. Having had bad experiences with both Jedi and Sith she is wary of Force users and refused to allow herself to ally with one side of another with the firm belief that 'if the Republic or the Sith had me the other side would just send one of their people to kill me' and in a business of shadows it's best to go unseen and unnoticed.
Red Star Cantina
Finding herself on Coruscant after assassinating a major politician and getting a nice large wad of credits added to her account, the Twi'lek decided it was time to take a bit of a break and began paying regular visits to the Red Star Cantina in between smaller jobs and began making friends such as Corvan, Cort, Axon, as well as the droid owner of the place Sparky. After being asked by Sparky to investigate the origins of the Cantina itself and following a lead she found herself at the ruins of a destroyed run down hotel. Searching through the rubble she discovered a small black recording device with two logos on it, one being a small red star and the other the Yinran Corporation's logo. Her mind went back to the twins who entered the Cantina with their entourage before flashing that company symbol and handing Sparky a letter before leaving promptly. A company spy who claimed to be part of what he deemd 'the brotherhood' offered her a chance to join the corporation and their legion of spies but she refused killing the man and dumping his body into the lower levels before running back to the Red Star where she found numerous of the same small black listening devices with the Yinran logo on them hidden around the Cantina. Various Yinran spies, members of the mysterious 'brotherhood' have made various attempts on her life since then, one resulting in her throwing a glass of acid into a man's face and another resulting in the destruction of the Ravenous Reek and nearby buildings when one of the would be killers activated an explosive as a last resort.
AoD and Centurion
Returning to the Red Star and still too stubborn to leave she ran into a man who merely gave her the name M but who she quickly deemed Creeper. The man gave her a job, telling her to get hired by the rather hideous fellow who was about to enter the cantina, insert a small round metal cylinder into his ship's security system in order to transmit the codes to his vessel and then he'd pick her up. She refused before he threatened to destroy the cantina and it's patrons and staff at which point she accepted hesitantly. Taking Creeper's job she found herself on a ship that was in fact alive which arrived at a planet called AoD completely made of living matter which needed sentient beings to pull apart their biomass and use it to maintain itself. Befriending the 'mole man', Marik Fatir, Saito Eastwind, a wookiee, and a kid named Jed in the process they managed to survived the horrors of the place and destroy AoD once and for all thanks to the 'mole man' sacrificing himself.
Escaping on Marik Fatir's ship which was damaged in the process of jumping to lightspeed, they stumbled upon Centurion an former Republic space station on the edge of the unknown regions. Marik stayed behind to watch the ship while Vix and the others enjoyed civilized life again before being arrested and charged with murder. After watching the recordings of a man murdering several of the Centurion's personnel the head of the station left while Vix, Saito, Jed, Marik, the wookiee, and the Sith man they had met on board escaped. Marik revealed himself to actually be the Sith Zelkin Infinium as he killed the citizens on board the station and summoned the Sith empire to aid him in taking over the Centurion. Janelle Fatir, Marik's sister showed up saving the group but before Vix and the gang could escape Zelkin slammed her against a wall and began using his Force Nightmare technique on her causing the most horrible moments of her life to come crashing back to the forefront of her mind driving her further into insanity before Jed and Saito stopped the Sith.
Favor for a Friend
After fleeing Centurion with a young girl Zelkin had threatened to kill in an attempt to drive Jed to the Dark Side Vix found herself back on Coruscant and back at the Red Star. Before she could even start downing Nova Scorchers she got a call from Crana requesting her to head to the Kuat system and protect Boss, the leader of the Stormhawk after a rather large bounty was placed on his head. Arriving on Kuat everything was going well until Leo Barizaan, a desperate ex-Jedi hired by Zelkin in hopes of having the bounty on his own head removed if he succeeded, arrived. Leo threw Vix and the majority of Boss' men from teh building, but thankfully Vix was able to break down the door just in time to prevent Leo from dealing the final blow. Boss was however injured in the process and seeing the name Zelkin written on the wall only infuriated her even further. Hastily leaving after promising Boss' men that she would kill Leo slowly she jumped in her fighter, an updated Star Saber which she calls the Xiphas and found herself chasing Leo back to the Coruscant system. Upon arriving there she discovered that Leo was after a man named Alen Tess whom she recognized from the Red Star Cantina and unfortunately that Leo was friends with Yinran as several Corporate starships appeared. Following Alen's ship she jumped to lightspeed as they headed toward the Dathomir system with Leo and Yinran in pursuit. Landing on the planet Leo continued to follow as Yinran stayed behind not wanting to enter space controlled by a rival corporation. After a long speeder chase and a quick skirmish between Leo and Allen, Vix made good on her promise and killed Leo slowly.
Saving a Spy
Taking a quick detour to Nar Shadaa on the way back to Coruscant in hopes of laying low for a bit after learning that Zelkin was now allies with Yinran, she atteneded one of Magga the Hutt's open parties with the purpose of gathering a bit of intel on his slaver friends. Leaving and arriving back on Coruscant she settled back in at the Red Star, she was contacted by a Republic spy named Defan possessing information about Zelkin Infinium and attempting to contact Janelle Fatir who had been on the run for a long time. Vix agreed to help and found herself as well as a few others she apparently picked up at the Red Star, helping ensure the spy's survival as well as the survival of the encrypted holodisk he was carrying from a Kiffar mercenary named Amarath Shades. Vix and company were able to save Defan, but unfortunately after a rather brutal chase through the streets of Coruscant ending in Shades holding a child hostage at knifepoint, the mercenary escaped with holodisk. Thanks to Maria, one of the people aiding Vix, the group was able to attain the Kiffar's robotic arm which happened to have a computer with various stored information on it. Defan also gave Vix a clawed gauntlet with a hookshot built in after she made note of wishing she had one.
The group proceeded down to the lower levels of Coruscant to visit a slicer Vix knows, a Toydarian by the name of Byt. Byt works out of a pawn shop cleverly coined Byt's and Pieces where he handles his more unscrupulous business in the back. With Byt's help the group was able to discover that Zelkin seemed to have a thing for a certain Setsuna Andal whom Vix remembered meeting earlier at the Red Star Cantina. The group departed to head their various ways after Vix gave Maria Shades' arm which she wanted to mount on the wall of her office.
Bumping into Defan again in the Red Star Cantina, the pair actually ran into Amarath Shades' sister, Karina Shades, a Jedi Padawan. After talking with Karina, the Kiffar agreed to help Vix and Defan track down and deal with her sister. After Vix recieved a message from Saito informing her that those wanting to stop Zelkin were meeting though she, Defan, and Karina departed to join the gathering allies and discuss what it would take to bring down the Sith.
Gathering of Allies
Upon arriving at the Stormhawk, which was designated as the meeting place for this convergence, the plans for Zelkin Infinium's superweapon, the Fate Shatter were unveiled. After finding most of the people's attitudes there annoying and distrubingly overconfident, the assassin clearly made her voice heard. After the meeting had been adjourned, Defan, Karina, and Vix were sent to track down Amarath Shades in hopes of weakening Zelkin's forces with her capture or death. The three departed for Nar Shaddaa aboard Defan's ship... and of course things didn't go as planned.
Kiffar Trouble
Upon reaching the planet's surface, Defan dropped Karina and Vix off while he took his ship and left to look for Shades elsewhere. Thus the assassin and the padawan began searching for the mercenary on the planet with no leads besides Karina's knowledge about her sister and her psychemetry, with limited time before the Yinran and Armada ships dropped out of hyperspace around Nar Shaddaa. The two dropped by the droid shop where Amarath gained her replacement arm to discover that they missed her. Noticing how much the Jedi stood out amongst the crowd, Vix took Karina on a detour to buy new clothes when the two ran into Darth Drador and his apprentice. Having no idea they passed by the Sith, the two left the store Karina no in a more 'normal' outfit. Walking down the street Vix recommended taking a detour which she remembered from her past on Nar Shaddaa which unfortunately led to the pair being ambushed by Darth Drador. After being hurled off a roof twice, the assassin found herself crashing through a window and into Amarath Shades' table at the Burning Deck, a local Cantina. Karina was able to make it to the Cantina causing Drador to give up his pursuit and confront her sister who happened ot be conversing with another Sith, Sia Sinblade at the time. Defan arrived and informed Vix and Karina that they were running out of time and needed to leave. Karina's attempts to show her sister what was really going on failed resulted in her being shot in the kneecap, Vix and fortunately Sia Sinblade who after being told Zelkin planned on killing the Force switched sides, moved to stop Shades. Timing however wasn't on their side, HK-50, a droid of Zelkin Infinium's arrived and intercepted Defan taking him hostage to return him to his master and Shades took the opportunity to turn the tides even more in her favor when her commandos arrived. Vix, Sia, and Karina fled the Burning Deck leaving Defan behind. After weaving through the streets, fighting commandoes and illiciting the help of some mercenaries Vix recommended for an earlier job, the group escaped Nar Shaddaa aboard's Defan's ship (since he tossed Vix his remote gauntlet with access to the ship's security system in the chaos).
Calm Before the Storm well kinda
Returning back to the Stormhawk with their new allies, Karina was taken to the medbay to have her knee fixed while Vix bumped into an old friend from AoD, Jed who now goes by Aiden. Going against her normal rule of thumb... always treat your own wounds unless necessary, due to tiredness Vix took up Aiden's offer to have his uncle treat her. Quickly realizing how much she really hates other people touching her and upon hearing that Aiden's uncle, Jade, was a memeber of 'The Brotherhood'... which happened to be the same brotherhood Vix ticked off ages ago... Vix freaked out. In an attempt to be discreat, she went about business as usual before dropping by the med bay where she found out she was in fact poisoned. Recieving treatment from the Stormhawk's medic, she was soon back on her feet and with a new set of armor courtesy of Will Kalenath... the assassn however insisted on keeping her old tattered black jacket for various practical as well as sentimental reasons.
Discovering that there was another meeting taking place aboard the Fatir Hope, Janelle Fatir's flagship, Vix quickly hoped in her starfighter and joined the gathering. Once there, she met her other allies and those whom agreed to aid in the battle against Zelkin Infinium before being broken off into fleets. Vix much to her shock and slight confusion was assigned to be the Admiral of the Vengeance fleet, a Republic group sent to aid in the battle. And her group, Flick, Rakio, and the Traveler boarded the flagship of the fleet and set off for the Yavin system to break through the line of Infinium Armada vessels in hopes of confronting Zelkin's superweapon, the Fate Shatter itself...
(history will be updated as it progresses through RP)
Personality
Vix is a cocky individual, she is often quick to anger and has a rather large string of words at her disposal with which to insult anyone who she feels deserves it. Due to her life as a slave she abhors people touching her or so much as hinting at the fact that she looks pretty despite the fact that she is a rather beautiful Twi'lek when she's not covered in blood or dust or who knows whatever else. Dare to call her a dancing girl and she will most likely threaten your life and leave you half dead if not dead. It's pretty much guaranteed that insults will fly while you're around her unless you catch her in a rather amazingly good mood or in a situation where she feels she needs to keep her cover.
Despite her hotheadness and general pyschoticness she is actually a good leader as she discovered on Necropolis. She knows how to bark out orders and is capable of weaseling her way out of pretty much any situation she finds herself in with her logic or with her way with words. The fact that her large network of contacts keeps her updated on the happenings of the galaxy also serves to her benefit, because in a business where everyone wants someone dead it's best to stay informed. The Twi'lek is also great at blending into crowds or playing whatever part she feels is required to allow her to achieve her objective, whether that be stupid air head, rich noble, street rat, or head of security. You name it she's probably pretended to be it at one point or another to get close to her targets or resolve a situation.
Despite the fact that she enjoys spilling blood, she still has a sense of honor and morality to a degree. If someone gets themselves into a horrible situation because of their own stupidity she's not going to give a care due to her belief that the universe would be better off without them, but she doesn't like to have innocent people's blood on her hands if she can help it. She makes sure that there's a good reason for going after the targets she's assigned before doing so after being back stabbed by a former employer. Of course though, Vix's definition of a good reason is rather fluctuating at times.
Goals and Ambitions
If Vix could have anything in the galaxy it would be for her people to give up their ambitions of dancing and entertaining and become warriors. It's her firm belief that it's Twi'lek culture which causes them to be viewed as such great assets as slaves and she hates it. If she could convince every Twi'lek she met to pickup a gun and join her she would.
Vix amazingly is not motivated by credits, she has more than enough to meet her needs and she merely views them as a way to gauge whether or not a task is worth her time.
Her current goals are to kill Zelkin, Shades, and annihilate Yinran from the face of the galaxy despite the fact that it would be a stretch for her to ever accomplish them, just don't tell her that.
Relationships
She has never really been in a serious relationship and typically views males, especially human males as worthless silmos.
Having really never known her mother, since the woman was absent for most of what Vix can remember from life prior to becoming a slave. She always assumed that her father sold her off to a slaver. The assassin's relationship with her father would be best classified as bitter loathing. After the day he sold her off to slavers, she has yet to see the man which is probably a good thing considering that she would most likely slit his throat in a heartbeat. She has no ties with anyone else in her clan.
Skills/Attributes
Vix is especially proficient with daggers, she can use them to kill in an instant in the proper situation without giving the target a chance to even utter a scream, she knows various methods of giving one an especially painful and drawn out death using them, and she is also quite skilled in employing them to climb up otherwise impossible surfaces.
She's a good shot with a pistol and can lob a grenade extremely accurately.
Vix's bio-mechanical replacement eye is capable of detecting most weapons and allowing her to detect movements she probably wouldn't normally. It also grants her the ability to look in two places at once which comes in hand when being chased since it allows her to do things such as drive a speeder and fire her pistol behind her accurately without having the turn around. It also has basic targeting, night vision, image capturing and display built in. The full extent of its functionality remains unknown since she doesn't care to divulge it to anyone although it is believed that she has certain filters which she applies for specific missions.
Despite how much she might hate it she is in fact a rather skilled dancer. One can occasionally spot her in a combat situation where it will appear as if she's dancing around her enemies or flipping off a wall with grace although those times are rare. She has also been known to use this skill to infiltrate various 'nightclubs' in order to get her marks.
Blending in with a crowd despite the fact that her skin is blue and changing her persona to fit the situation as well as talking her way out of situations also come in handy as well as various acrobatics which she has picked up over the years from having to infiltrate various locales.
She also has a very high alcohol resistance due to the fact that she drinks a good deal and has for years now.
Vix is a very skilled pilot, never having access to ships or piloting them due to her period as a slave, the first thing she did when she earned enough credits was buy a ship. After getting a few lessons, she found she had a rather natural affinity for flying small fighters like a maniac... which she is.
