"Behold! I am he who will set the Galaxy free, the one who will bring freedom to the enslaved! I am the Destroyer of Fate! I am Infinity!"
Zelkin Infinium the Destroyer of Fate, otherwise known as Marik Fatir, is the twin brother of Janelle Fatir. Known for having his hand in the affairs of many personalities across civilized space, he commands an elite unit of Imperial soldiers devoted to him, not out of fear, but out of respect, known as the Infinium Shadow. His existence elicits fear and hate among most people, and is identifiable by the helmet he wears to hide his face.

Physical Description
Zelkin is about 5'11 tall, weighing about 165 lbs. He wears a black long sleeve shirt and baggy-looking black pants with medium-cut gray boots. Over the long sleeve shirt is a gray Sith tunic, and on his hands are a pair of long gray gloves. Over these clothes is a gray long sleeve cloak that parts at the bottom somewhat that comes open when one moves. Over that cloak is a gray cape and cowl. This hood-like cowl, which is connected to the cape, is occasionally pulled up over his head to obscure his face.
His face is not typically visible, due to a rust-colored Mandalorian helmet that was heavily modified to suit his purpose. The helmet resembles a face- it has outlined grooves that seem to resemble places where there would be a nose and mouth. The section where the eyes should be have been carved in a way to allow a pair of black-tinted lenses, which can slide up upon command of the Force. The helmet almost completely covers his face, however the top has been cut open to allow the hair to flow free. Even the ears are covered with this helmet. The helmet is removable via a small triggering interface at the back of the neck that allows the helmet to automatically separate from the back neck piece, allowing easy removal.
Beneath the mask lies a flawless, nineteen year old looking face with brown eyes and boyish features. In times of intense anger and emotion, his eyes become sulfur-yellow, though he has learned to trigger the transformation of his eyes at will by channeling the Force. His hair is long, measuring to just past his shoulder blades.
Languages
Zelkin is proficient in many languages, as is standard teaching in the Sith Academy. Such languages he can speak are Shyriiwook, Binary, Galactic Standard, Rhyloth, Huttese, Sith, Dosh and Rodese.
Family
Zelkin has a twin sister, Janelle Fatir, who he thought he killed on Dxun. He also had a mother and father, Tara and Torim Fatir respectively, who were murdered 14 years ago by a covert Sith raid on Dantooine, a day which would result in a monumental change in his (and his sister's) life.
Background
Zelkin and his sister Janelle was born on Elona 29, 3637 on the planet Dantooine to Jedi Knight Torim Fatir and his wife Tara. Torim Fatir was a Jedi Knight who had a secret love affair with a woman he met during one of his missions off world, who he later married in secret, as marriage has long been restricted among the Jedi Order. Due to his status as a Jedi Knight, he was hunted down and eventually murdered sometime in the year 3642 BBY with his wife. The twins returned to their homestead on the Khoonda Plains to find their parents brutally slain. The Sith Lord who led the small raid party captured the twins, realizing that they were both strong in the Force.
The twins would be raised as Sith for years on Korriban, the Galaxy having entered a time of turmoil and required fresh Force-sensitive recruits for their dark deeds. As they grew older, the twins schemed from the inside to gain rank within the Sith Order and obtain the necessary information to find their parents' killer and exact revenge, then submit themselves to the mercy of the Jedi and strip themselves of the Force so that they could lead normal lives. Their plans finally came to fruition one day in the year 3653 BBY, where they killed their Master, Darth Anarki. The Emperor, impressed with the twins' ambition and determination, allowed Janelle Fatir to ascend to the rank of Dark Lord of the Sith, taking up the name Furia. At the age of 16, Janelle Fatir was one of the youngest Force-sensitives in current history to hold the rank of Dark Lord. Her first request was the requisition of a personal vessel. Her second- to make her own twin brother her apprentice, mainly to keep them together and protect one another from the influence of the other Dark Lords.
A year later, the twins went on a personal mission to Dxun, where they obtained information from a bounty hunter that the holocron of the Sith Lord that killed their parents was. Hoping to use the holocron to track the Sith Lord down, they went to Dxun to investigate, only to be confronted by Kirin Starlace and her Master. After a lengthy two-way duel, Marik managed to kill Kirin's master. Janelle, having finally broken free from the corruption of the Dark Side due to Kirin's words, pleaded with her brother when he returned from his own battle. Marik, in shock from his sister's sudden change of demeanor and attitude, came to the realization that the Force took his sister away from him. The Dark Side twisted this thought and implanted into his mind the notion that his sister was dead to him, and fully embraced the power of the Dark Side, discarding his sister and taking up the mantle of Zelkin Infinium, placing an old Mandalorian helmet over his face that he found on the way back to his ship.
Personality
"As for my intentions... well, suffice it to say, it is far bigger than a mere Pazzak game."
Zelkin is cunning, manipulative and a strategic genius, twisting events and people to suit his own needs and purposes- a purpose that has thus far remained to be seen. He is willing to eliminate weak individuals who he deems unfit to fight at his side, or shows an extremely high level of stupidity or insolence in his view, even if these mistakes may seem reparable. He embraces self-sufficiency and instinct as the absolute prime factor, and finds no reason to help the common man if they show any incapacity to help themselves. He will not hesitate to stab a temporary ally in the back to make a quick escape or massacre an entire space station's worth of people if it means furthering his ambitions, whatever they may be.
"Together, we must free the Galaxy for their memory, and embrace them with our actions!"
Despite all this, Zelkin has a high sense of honor and respect, very unlike most traditional Sith. Unlike traditional Sith, he understands the value of friendship, alliances and camaraderie, forging bonds with those he feels would prove useful in furthering his cause. His belief is that by empowering others with strength and trust, they will be able to fight more efficiently with him. Those he regards as friends and trustworthy comrades he regards with equality and respect, despite possibly having superior rank. This makes him a charismatic and natural leader, something most Sith lack and choose to enforce by inciting fear and terror into their subordinates.
He is also a proponent of free will and freedom. He believes people should be able to make their own decisions and choices. If they make a choice that would prove to be a detriment against his plans, however, he would not hesitate to strike them down.
Zelkin has shown that there is another, more human side buried deep within his darkness and ambition, which has taken up his true name. This persona of his usually comes out when he is in the presence of his beloved, Setsuna Andal. As Marik, he has displayed moments of compassion, devotion and love, doing anything to ensure that he and Setsuna remain together. He is constantly at odds with the two halves of his being- an internal war between his dark ambition and his great love.
As Zelkin, he tends to speak with a deep, cold voice, resounding through his helmet and creating a sort of hollow-metallic effect. He also speaks without using compound words (i.e. can't, won't, etc). Without the helmet, he speaks in a lighter tone and more casual manner, though this is mostly only when he is around Setsuna or his Apprentice.
Powers and Abilities
"Now, I am more powerful than ever before."
As a fully trained Force-sensitive, Zelkin falls beneath the class of a Sith Marauder with subtle nuances that differentiate him from most other Sith that number themselves as members of the same variant, due to his philosophies about the Force, and his added training in Force powers.
Through this specialized self-training, he has gained a number of specialized techniques. One of which involves a compressed version of the Force Lightning power, combining it with the basic Force Push into a sort of ball, creating what he dubbed as a Lightning Grenade. The combined powers allow the Lightning Grenade to be thrown a short distance until it comes into contact with an object, surface or being, exploding in a small area of effect circle-like dome of crackling electrical energy. Its effects last for a few short seconds, then dissipate.
His commonly used saber style is unorthodox, utilizing a combination of Shien, Jar'kai, Juyo and Ataru. Using his twin lightsabers, he falls into the Shien stance, attacks using Jar'kai and Juyo combinations, and moves with Ataru speed, agility and acrobatics. He has developed a second, secret style, which he only uses when he either deems his opponent worthy of seeing it, or feels that his regular style cannot combat his opponent's. To use this style, he puts his twin lightsabers together from the tail end. The left-hand saber spires retract upward, and the emitter matrix closes. The right-hand saber's blade grows three inches longer, and he lowers his stance, raising the now-longer hilt of the lightsaber slightly above eye level and grasping with both hands, arms crossing in a right angle, with the legs spread out farther.
"Fear of death is something all sentient beings experience. However... what I can cause to you transcends physical death." -Zelkin to Amarath Shades.
After the events of the Necropolis, Zelkin found that he could no longer draw from the Force. Struggling to regain his connection, he entered deep meditation while him and his temporary allies were on the Centurion. Upon utilizing his own inner anger and hatred for his dependency on the Force, he found himself flooded with the pure energy of the Dark Side, but broken free from its corrupting influence. With his new power, he was able to utilize a new ability known as Force Nightmare, which induces the most painful memories within a person he locks his gaze with, channeling the Dark Side's power through his eyes. The use of this power is signified by the appearance of veins in his eyes that take the form of thick, red lines that appear as though they are rays, aiming down into the sulfur-yellow irises of his eyes.
During the Infinium Conflict, he confronted Xoran Arul, Jedi of a future as of yet unwritten, with an advanced and highly-evolved control over the power of Force Lightning. Zelkin seems to be capable of manipulating his personal bio-electrical impulses to create some sort of cloak over his body, as well as generate the Force Lightning phenomenon without the use of his hands. By making himself the core of the storm of bio-electricity around his body, he is able to manipulate the Force Lightning in a way not yet seen in known history, somehow making his body become a sort of lightning rod and commanding the power, absorbing it, then re-deploying it to increase its power.
He is also able to utilize Force Choke, the regular variant of Force Lightning, a limited use of Force Illusions, Lightning Shield, Force Crush and Force Repulse.
Helmet
Zelkin's helmet is unique in that it is a heavily modified version of a Mandalorian helmet, which is one of his most prized possessions. He has two of these, but one is far more customized than the one he regularly wears.
The one he regularly wears (which is rust-colored) has a built-in com unit built into the headpiece, which can be activated with a press of a button on the left or right ear section. Most operations of the helmet can be activate via one of the two buttons on either ear section.
In addition to the com, there is also a variable HUD system integrated into the helmet. On a regular basis, the HUD usually takes the form of natural view- seeing through the lenses of the helmet is like looking through regular eyes, though digitized. With a press of the upper ear button, he can cycle through various HUD modes, such as a scanner which can identify minerals, creatures, planets, organisms and Imperial citizens, and a starfighter battle HUD that can analyze ships and weapons as well as make proper targeting adjustments for a ship's weapons systems.
The other helmet is actually the original helmet he found on Dxun years after he defeated his twin sister, making the original rust-colored one a side project of his own personal design. It looks exactly like the rust colored one, except it is gray with red, scar-like designs over the eyes. It appears to have the same customizations his old helmet has, in addition to garnering a new construction from the alloying of void prisms and the natural durasteel construction of the helmet, then supercharging the alloy using Sith Alchemy procedures, which allow the helmet to amplify the Force of the wearer to levels as of yet unseen by any Jedi or Sith.
Force Bond and Philosophy
Due to their nature as twins, Janelle Fatir and Zelkin Infinium possess a unique Force Bond. Unlike the typical Force Bond, the bond has a unique effect on the twins' evolution as Force-sensitives. They are able to evolve more quickly in the Force through traumatic events, which also magnifies the effect the channeled alignment has on their individual personae.
In the case of Zelkin, upon regaining the Force on the Centurion, his powers were magnified three fold. However, due to his immense strength of will and complete defiance of the Force's imposing will, he was able to completely break free from the corrupting influence of the Dark Side, while still retaining his complete immersion in it. This did not change his personality, but it completely altered his philosophies and outlook, causing him to view the Force in a way similar to Kreia- to him, the Force was the writer of destinies, and all sentient beings walked the path that the Force laid out for them and yet gave them the ability to think for themselves, creating the illusion of free will. In his view, the Force was essentially making everyone walk the paths it had created for them, resulting in a never ending cycle of pain and war. To him, in order for the Galaxy to be truly free and at peace, destiny- and in that respect, the Living and Unifying Force- must be destroyed.
