Detailed overview

The Aludra was one of the LiMerge Power freighters. However, it was stolen from the company by Riv Skaren and Jenassa Shal when it was based on Tythe.
A hybrid freighter, the Aludra combines armament with manoeuvrability. Cargo capacity is slightly less than a regular freighter of its size, but the vessel makes up for it in speed and armament. The Aludra was intended as a independent freighter for the more dangerous transport routes that could not be covered by security, and was armed to engage pirate vessels common along remote trade routes. To this end it has two turrets and various weaponry in order to mount a solid attack against other ships. Not many ships her size have fixed weapon placements, but due to her speed and manoeuvrability the ship can line up targets and blow them out of the sky.
However, due to emphasis on manoeuvrability, the primary defence of the Aludra is speed. It is less shielded than a standard military fighter and is not intended to engage vessels in prolonged combat. It is also competent in atmosphere, thanks to a consideration of aerodynamics in the design of the engines and wings of the ship.
Originally a Corellian design, the Aludra was later modified beyond its original parameters. The ship itself is fast and surprisingly manoeuvrable for its size, mostly thanks to the four smallish sized drives it uses to power it. The secondary engines achieve a much higher manoeuvrability rate through a combination of several factors: differential thrust from the four fusion engines, high-mass electromagnetic gyros in each engine add a turning effect and precise bursts of retro-thrust fire forward through the turbine nozzles, adding a further turning effect. However, this complex machinery for a ship at such a size makes handling the Aludra difficult. The current pilot, Zion Sazen is capable of handling the ship probably due to her force skills.
Designed specifically for LiMerge as a independent contract the Aludra has seen little change to it over the years. Also the ship has had smuggling compartment placed in the walls for some of the more dubious trading that went on with the former captain. Due to the uniqueness of the ship the Aludra can be quite expensive to run due to it needing rarer or more specific components and a decent mechanic, however it pays it back in performance.

The upper deck of the Aludra is the living area of the ship, consisting of crew lounge, quarters, and COCKpit. Though it does not have a full galley, there are small food processors in the main lounge. The upper deck of the Aludra can comfortably hold 5 crew and the captain. Meanwhile, the medical bay is equipped with modest supplies meant to stabilize human and near-human sentients. As a company working for the Empire, LiMerge took into account its employers' humanocentric tendencies, and manned their vessels with crews consisting primarily of human sentients.

The lower deck of the Aludra is the service and maintenance level. Though quarters have been made available (undoubtedly for the engineer on duty), the primary function of the lower deck is the support of the rest of the ship and crew. The service and laundry room is where refuse can be ejected and laundry taken care of. The maintenance bay is equipped to handle droids and other machinery. The armory/storage facility contains several lockers with equipment for swift deployment of personnel to a planet's surface.
Some of the walls also contain secret smuggling compartments.
